A Chill Day In Lebanon ( during wartime )

Video Overview & Insights

Join me for a visit to the northern parts of Lebanon where I'm joined by one of the countries best guides, Fatima.

You should definitely go to a town close to tripoli called Ehden!!! It is super nice now in the summer and has amazing vibes!

— @thectheb

Here we experience what I would equate to a surreal day touring a city whilst the southern region of the country is experiencing fighting. The strangest part about it all was that nothing was strange at all, everything was...normal...

Lebanon is a beautiful country with resilient people who are exhausted from decades of conflict. The desire, as shared with me by locals, is to live a normal life. This video attempts to showcase that.

Thought this was a gay guide in Lebanon show. What a disappointment. Bye.

And folks, if you'd like to visit Lebanon and it's incredibly unique sites, consider booking a custom tour with Fatimah. She was incredibly knowledgable of the history of Lebanon and helped me immerse into local communities as if I were a part of them. You can contact her via Instagram here: https://www.instagram.com/lebanon_with_fatimah?igsh=MWRsazF3bHhpdjcxdg==

I wanted to see you crushed

Sorry but fatimaaaa!
You are absolutely so awkward why are u acting like that?
She is usually really professional with other tourists but she is acting stupid and very awkward infornt of the camera and then never EVERR leave ur tourist alone in the street always be with them and accompany them and guide them they’re not familiar with the area as much as you are
Honestly fatima that was a bad service and a very unprofessional attitude
And the other guy hands him a fucking kitten 🐱 and leaves him 😂?
Wtf is going on!

Israel has been very clear....Lebanon should rule itself without influence from Iran. Hizbollah has turned that country into shit. Millions of Lebanese people are in exile because of......you guessed it....not because of Israel but because of Islamists. Israel does not want Lebanon period. Israel wants Lebanon to be a peaceful friendly neighbor and that is it. IF Lebanon was still ruled entirely by Christians...there'd be absolute peace between the two.

It would’ve been better to have a tour guide who is from Tripoli, so he/she can really dive deep down into the history and explain more about this rich and historical city, I felt like fatima was silent the whole tour, anyway hope you come another time to see and understand the real Tripoli 😊

When will we be able to watch videos from Georgia?

@Tornado-p-c5c

I don't think going to Tripoli was the best idea with fatima . I also felt like it would've been better if she had been with someone who's actually from the city when abdullrahman join it became better. She's great, but she doesn't seem that familiar with Tripoli. I think if you'd gone with some local guys not girl , you would've enjoyed visiting the hammam much more, and they would've taken you to try the authentic local food, the beach, explore the citadel, and even discover its secret passageways.

Tripoli has a certain charm and so do its people. It also has an incredible kitchen, Rob. You should definitely go on a food tour the next time you're there.

Checkout the dedicated hummus shops (Dannoun, Akra, etc.), Baytuna for a more refined experience in a nicer part of town, and Hallab for dessert among other places.

Tripoli is a real lebanese experience with real humble and hospitable people. Batroun is not comparable imo in that regard.
