A 7-Minute Ab Workout, but not like the others

Video Overview & Insights

Head to https://jakewilliamsfit.com/abs-in-7mins to learn more about my complete Hybrid and Calisthenics programs and everything to do with injury-prevention, nutrition, muscle, and getting incredibly strong.

Thank you for actually explaining how to perform a leg raise. I've seen dozens of videos, and no one explained how to do them properly.

But do you do those other high volume, high rep ab workouts too?

— @RetlerTango39

There’s always exceptions, but in general, most follow-along ab workouts are hot garbage.

This is because the people doing them know that if they make you feel a burn, keep the video engaging with little to no rest time, and have you waking up sore the next day, you’ll feel like you got what you wanted.

Can you make a video about dieting

— @railrider009

But everyone knows this isn’t how you effectively build muscle. You’ll never find a good bodybuilder doing 30+ reps of something as fast as possible before taking 30 seconds rest and backing it up with 40 more. People forget that abs are just like every other muscle, and that if you want to improve their shape and the depth of their cuts, effective growth is what you’re looking for.

Train heavy, pick smart exercises that target the muscle, push them close to failure, and rest enough to keep your performance and set quality high.

I actually built visible abs just off legs raises when I first started out so I promise these will work you can literally build abs with an hour a week and a good diet

— @kieren7763

Hitting this workout 2-3x/week, especially alongside some targeted oblique work, will give you plenty of effective volume for developing both core strength and aesthetics.

Love this video 😍
Gonna follow along inshallah!

Thanks for this. I did a bulk but put on some belly fat. I am trying to cut and making sure im on a calorie deficit. In my experience, core workouts can be very fatiguing.

Liked and subscribed. Discovered you on Instagram a few weeks ago. Looking to develop elite abs because something happened to my upper left ab about 7 years ago when I was 15 years old and I want to bulletproof them and other areas to prevent injury
