I know one cannot argue taste, but there's a reason these songs were "underrated" and underappreciated. Even the greatest of hitters cannot get a hit each time they approach the plate.

I'm looking for a son that probably was from 98 or 99. I don't remember the lyrics but I think at the beginning the singer (female) would say *where are you where are you" and then she would sing out loud like Aaaaaah and say something and the background will repeat. She would repeat again this. It played on Canadian TV Much Music.

I love that "Ready to Go" from Republica is on here. I bought the cassette single in the mid-'90s and I still make sure to watch the song's music videos a couple of times a year. Also, I hadn't heard Aretha Franklin's cover of "A Deeper Love" in about 30 years! I remember hearing many of the other songs in this compilation.

What has happened to mankind when the past is better than 21 century

Erasure - "Love To Hate You" made it into UK #4. What's a pretty good result. I wouldn't call it "underrated"

I love it when you rediscover a song :-)
But You could make the clips a bit longer -because you barely got time to recognize some of them.

This list is mostly semi hits by artists who passed their prime 10-20 years before their song came out or forgettable 2nd or 3rd singles by one hit wonders. There's maybe 5 songs I'd seek out to listen to out of the 90 😂

It’s like I put on a “greatest hits of the 90s” vid but that triggered some disturbance in the fabric of space-time and created a wormhole and now I’m in an alternate reality watching this.

Peter Murphy "Cuts You Up" was 1990 and was his biggest commercial hit, but technically the album it came from was released in 1989 and I often hear it on "80s flashback hours" on the radio. But a true underrated 90s song of his would be "I'll Fall With Your Knife" from his 1995 album "Cascade". I do remember hearing it on the radio only a handful of times, but I still keep it on my 90s playlist.
