Good stuff brother keep it up

— @TSMobileMechanicLive

In this poker lesson I break down several key strategy fundamentals — including which hands to play and when to bet, raise, bluff, or fold.

If you're new to the channel, my name is Nathan "BlackRain79" Williams and I am a 10+ year professional poker player and 3-time best selling author.

In situation A, with the AK, can you name examples where we can play check call to showdown when oop? If we remain with top pair top kicker, what is the play if opponent fires 3 barrels?

— @agent00jesus41

Poker is fundamentally a game of skill and I believe that focusing on the basics is the most effective way to improve your game.

Literally said NOT to re-raise pocket AK in the first slide, then says to 3 bet AK on the 3rd slide! Wtf

I consider myself to be a mediocre to average poker player, but after watching this, I’m pretty sure I’ve been a fish! I took your advice from this video and my first day out, yesterday walked away with $257 in profit in about 2 1/2 hours in a 1/2 no limit, and today walked out with $551 profit in the same game in about 4 hours. I don’t think I’m a professional or anything, but what an amazing run after only 2 tries. I’ll continue to watch this video as a refresher every time I go out and play. Thanks again!

Oh wow! I thought poker was just about luck and psychology - seems like this is much more complex. Thank you so much for this video!

At least elaborate on your terms

Alternatively, what if you only ever limp? Could you lure people in and have it as a bluff option later in the game?

The only, very rare, exception I will personally make to #1 is if I have an opponent I’m not sure of a read on. Again very rarely and I know going in I’m probably paying for information.

Just started playing online after watching people for years on youtube. I definitely have to get better at reducing the hands I play (boring just watching), and the "need to see it", especially if I have got a strong hand that I'm going to get coolered on. Thanks for the tips!

Dont re-raise 2nd nuts if minimal bet just occurred only getting re-raised by stone cold NUTS!!?$$ JUST A CALL

I had a friend who played omaha hi low; and he told me this story; before the river came down, he had the highest implied odds, so he raised and his opponent reraised etc until they raised it all, and he told me that just through sheer chance his opponent won the hi and low pot and to this day, he told me that no one would have called him like that and couldn't believe he lost it all. According to him, thankfully this was a low stakes game so he didn't lose much, just his pride.

Great advice master! I'm relatively new at poker, I've been playing online since April and I've won some good money. Now I know very good tips that will help me win consistently.

Pd: I usted to limp sometimes 😢 No more!

QUEST: Home game. If player-1 and player-2 have the same pair, but Player-1 says he has a pair + Queen kicker & Player-2 has the same pair BUT uses the Ace showing on the board, then Player-1 realizes his mistake and also calls Ace kicker, is he allowed to change his mind once called? THANKS

Please don't call all your viewers 'guys'. It's rude and grammatically incorrect.
You don't need to use that word in any conversation unless you are talking to only groups of guys. It's hard to finish watching this video when you keep using the word guys. Thumbs down 😢

These tips and tactics are just pure fiction, with no actual hardline proofs too back it all up.
Here's my 100% factual proof tips to all beginner texas poker's out there.
'DO NOT' Just blindly trust a "random smuck" that says He/She is an experienced / pro on any computer screen's.
Spewing out these "Tips" On how you should play a poker game.
Instead!
'FIND SOMEONE' That 100% In Fact "IS" an experienced / pro player in the real life and kindly ask them to guide you or help you in improving.

THAT is the winning tip.

Your raise amounts suggested are much too low for smaller stakes live cash games.

0pening to 3x the BB will generally get called by at least 4 players on a full table of 9-10 players.
You will devalue your hands and ruin your equity, a recipe for losing.
If opening to 5x gets too many callers, open to 7.5 x, if that gets too many, open to 10x, you'll soon be isolating them and taking their chips.

Many low stakes fish are there just to have fun, splash around and gamble.
They don't mind rebuying over and over.

Increase your bets to isolate these players who never fold, and gain the best equity from your strong holdings.
They will be happy to call all in after the turn with 4-8 outs.
They are easy to read post flop. If you're out of position, you should still be C-betting at a high frequency. They will only raise if they flopped it. They will call with all draws.
This player isn't folding ANY flopped pair, gutshot, open-ender, or flush draw.
When the turn bricks and nothing completes, get it in, they are calling 75% of time.

When you are in position and they check the flop, same thing, you should be c-betting at a high %, and shoving the turn when it bricks out. Again, they aren't folding any OE, Flush, Gutshots, top pair on flop when you have over-pair, and middle pair with face card hands.

You want to run these as many times as you possibly can. You're an 80% plus favorite to win there.

Never berate them when they suck out, you're going to lose 2 of 10x in this spot. Tell them nice hand and move on, tilting is not an option. Sometimes you may lose many of these in a row, that's called variance. Vegas will run a game where they have a 6% advantage on the people who play it, because in the long run, they always win.

In the long term it's impossible to lose against this player, and you will have plenty more sessions with $50/hr. win rate or higher, than you have losing sessions of 1 or occasionally 2 buy-ins.

Isolate the calling station at the table, and maximize the equity of your strong hands.
Trap the aggro donks, and 3-bet from position against players who fold too much.

The aggro donks generally get smart after you trap them a time or two, and you will win small pots against the players who fold too much, but the money is against the calling station.
Isolate, c-bet, jam the station.....they never learn because they don't care, the only thing they think is, "if I hit this card I can win".

If u raise preflop in online micro stakes like .1/.2, u will literally almost never play poker lmao. They fold too often.

I agree with all except #4. In my opinion it's good to limp sometimes, it'll set you up to bluff on a bad board or even catch a good hand for cheap
