Doesn't matter the age of the aircraft. What does matter is the qualification of the pilots and subsequently their errors. The B-52 has been around since 1955 flying missions in many conflicts. Seen them firsthand flying sorties in Iraq with two F-16s flying protection while I served in the 82nd ABN. Definitely a sight to see and hear as they went overhead.
