Wow this video is a lifesaver lmao, I've technically been playing the Sims since it came out but mostly I just did the most random sh-t in it. Or like weird challenges, so lately I've been going through different youtubers channels to learn aspects of the game most people know that I didn't, like building techniques or gameplay stuff, like your video here. 4:32 yes to turning off neighbourhood stories. I forgot and it went crazy. People had loads of children they adopted, loads of people died. I had to go round trying to find their ghosts or remove families and add back in 😂

Hacker / DJ / Mixer = My Life is Strange but Interesting. Would like to see selling Games you can make yourself, instead like needed a publisher. Just to own your own gaming or hackers group company would be totally interesting.

Guess mistake 5 was me all along

I suppose I've never paid much attention to what neighborhood stories does. The way I play is I go to an empty lot and start a family. I build up the lot for a few generations and then pick a favorite of the current generation and move them to an empty lot and start again. I don't pay much attention to the other lots, even the ones I started. When I fill up all lots, I start a new save. Lol

Omg I have found so many cool houses to fill empty lots. I watch out for those that have thousands of things that are just crammed into every crevice of the house though because most times they used the cheat to be able to just place things wherever and I prefer not using that cheat and who the hell needs that much stuff packed into a house. There's been so many good houses that were completely ruined because of that.
I also like finding Sims in the gallery to create families because sometimes I just don't feel up to creating a new family.
~I have had a lot of fun creating hybrid and tribrid people though! That genetics option to mix different people together is an interesting tool to create vampire and alien hybrids and others cool mixes. 😃

You also can just extend the roof from your house and plant your plants under it and it will count as them being sheltered and they'll grow all year. Found this out by mistake in cottage living with that little starter house in one of the neighborhoods.

If you receive many visitors, lock your doors. You don't want your friends in your bedroom, bathroom and kitchen.
It freaks me out, bigtime. It's very very private spaces.

You wouldn't just walk into someone's kitchen uninvited.

Seasons is especially there for the seasonal crops and food. Having any crop in any season makes the game boring.
It's much more fun to eat spring food in spring and summer food in summer.

I forgot to turn off the stories and my favorite sim died somehow and i am so bummed. I never got to play them.

I can’t stand neighbourhood stories. I spend so much time building neighbourhood and moving in sims and then they all die or move out and disappear and the place is a ghost town. I have it turned off and it still happens. Anyone know why?

I don't have seasons or the sales table. So some of your tips don't apply to me. Neighborhood stories are essential to me, without it neighborhoods feel empty. No my Sims are not an author. I chose jobs based on their personality and aspirations. However, I can't imagine what's so boring about being a famous author. I think freelancers are the most boring jobs. Btw it's subjective what's boring or not. So mistake 5 is just your opinion and not really a tip.
