600 Days on Duolingo, Can I Talk to People?

you could hear his confidence building as the video went on, that was the most honest part of it tbh. by the cafe goodbye with Timur it actually sounded like a conversation. for me the freezing was never really about grammar. it's having someone watch while you fumble. I'm learning Italian through my partner's family and most of my real practice happens at his mum's dinner table, no właśnie. on the speaking side I've been mixing things, Duolingo for the daily upkeep and Praktika with Skye when I want to be bad out loud in private first. you kind of have to fail alone before you can fail in front of people I think...

it really depends how much you learn in a day cuz Im on 641 days but my spanish it's only a bit better. And it depends how committed you are on the language, because I've been constantly switching languages because the lessons got hard.

When I started studying russian on duolingo, I stumbled upon this video, and I did not get a single word in russian apart from spasibo. Now I got to 600 days and came back here, and I can relate very much to what you understood and what not.
That's insane considering it only takes 5/10 min a day, slow learning curve but consistent. Looking forward to the 700 days video as soon as I get there.))

Using Duolingo is an interesting way to learn a new language, but it is too slow if you learn with it...🥲

لماذا لا يوجد ترجمة بالعربي

Автор видео выбрал не совсем верный язык для проверки приложения. Варианты русского языка понимают очень хорошо все носители, то есть я с легкостью пойму и белоруса и казаха, хоть у них немного другое произношение/говор/диалект и тд. Я прекрасно пойму африканца, который учил русский 20-30 лет назад. Наверное, дело в структуре языка. Мой язык более гибкий, если даже в качестве примера привести расположение слов в предложении. В норвежском языке, например, носители с севера не всегда понимают южан 😂 есть представители, которые не имели никакого общения и контакта с иностранцами, говорящими по-норвежски.. ну то есть тебя понимают южане, норвежцы с запада, востока, местные жители срединной Норвегии, но чувак из Альты скажет только hæ?? Я однажды наблюдал, как африканец переводил дословно фразу жетеля Тренделага северянину.. ну, это треш. То есть диалекты и строение языка играют большую роль в понимании. Ну и русский более сложный язык, поэтому наш мозг работает по-другому, более гибкий и восприимчивый.
