Vegas hasnโ€™t only messed with Black Jack. Roulette wheels increasingly display 3 sets of zeroes in which the ball can land instead of one. There are craps tables where payouts are skewed such that the 3 & 11 pay 15 for 1 instead of 15 to 1. The proposition bets across the layout are all tweaked like that and even the field will only pay you 2 to 1 on a 12 instead of 3 to 1. Comps as well often arenโ€™t even rated unless youโ€™re playing well beyond the minimum so for a low bankroll player it doesnโ€™t even make a difference anymore if you have a playerโ€™s card or not. You will get nothing!

If you play good enough to get the edge down to .05 go ahead and play and enjoy yourself, with just a little luck you can come out ahead! Itโ€™s about as good a bet as there is in a casino! Maybe to pass/donโ€™t pass line on craps is a little better!

The devil is stealing your money through gambling. gambling is a sinful, spiritually destructive activity that exploits greed, promotes laziness over hard work, fosters addiction, and harms families, a tool Satan uses to lead people away from God and toward ruin, leading to poverty and despair. It connects the love of money, broken stewardship, And false hope in chance to demonic influence, contrasting it with biblical principles of honest labor and faith in God.ย Casinos use all sorts of marketing schemes to entice gamblers to risk as much money as possible. They often offer inexpensive or even free alcohol, which encourages drunkenness, and thereby a decreased ability to make wise decisions. Everything in a casino is perfectly rigged for taking money in large sums and giving nothing in return, except for fleeting and empty pleasures. Lotteries attempt to portray themselves as a way to fund education and/or social programs. However, studies show that lottery participants are usually those who can least afford to be spending money on lottery tickets. The allure of โ€œgetting rich quickโ€ is too great a temptation to resist for those who are desperate. The chances of winning are infinitesimal, which results in many peoplesโ€™ lives being ruined.ย Can lotto/lottery proceeds please God? Many people claim to be playing the lottery or gambling so that they can give the money to the church or to some other good cause.ย God does not need our winnings money to fund His mission in the world. Proverbs 13:11ย says, โ€œDishonest money dwindles away, but he who gathers money little by little makes it grow.โ€ God is sovereign and will provide for the needs of the church through honest means. Would God be honored by receiving donated drug money or money stolen in a bank robbery? Of course not. Neither does God need or want money that was โ€œstolenโ€ from the poor in the temptation for riches. First Timothy 6:10ย tells us, โ€œFor the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.โ€ Hebrews 13:5ย declares, โ€œKeep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, โ€˜Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.โ€™โ€ Matthew 6:24ย proclaims, โ€œNo one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.โ€

Ofcourse the sidebets are harder to hit. But, they also pay better..

I was heading to the high limit room and ran into some friends from college so I sat down for with them for a while. Since it was a lower limit table I played the bonus from time to time. Of course, one of the times I didn't play it 3 7 of hearts came up and I would have won $168k. Could have, would have, should have. Oh well.

@justmedotcom

The only side bet I would play is payout for a 20. Count cards when the deck gets hot more tens in the deck=more possible 20s

Hi Colin! I live in Sydney, Australia and there are a grand total of 2 casinos in the city, both of which only offer blackjack variants for low minimums with every table using CSMs (unless you're a VIP). One of the variants is called blackjack challenge which I think is a 2.5% house edge if played optimally. In my situation, is it worth playing this variant because it's really my only option, or should I really save up a larger bankroll for the true blackjack tables which have minimums about 5x the variant tables?

I actually love the side bets, +3 and super +3. I find them to be really fun, knowing the player edge is so low. But I go to the casino maybe twice per year, so I bring like $400, play the $10 minimum tables and sit snd enjoy myself for MANY hours. If I lose, meh, it's fine. If I hit a big +3, that's great too!

Vegas casinos are the biggest rip offs in the world,how they get away with it is a shock,go to Europe and play on roulette with 1 zero not two or 3 ๐Ÿ˜‚,blackjack is alot better too.

Thank you, Colin, for sharing all these extremely valuable tips. I really appreciate the clarity and the way you explain everything. Iโ€™ve experimented with many different blackjack strategies over the years, and the one that has consistently worked the best for me is the Dโ€™Alembert progression, combined with your suggested basic strategy.

How come all of the video's podcasts show only one person playing against the dealer? It never seems to happen that way, unless you play huge amounts per hand, then casino will let you play one on one.

After losing more double down hands than winning per session I finally realized itโ€™s a losing bet! It essentially just speeds up your losses because bet is equivalent to playing two consecutive hands!

I just got back from my second five casino session ever. Had a guy join my just after the first hand and buy in for the same amount as me (1200 on a 50 minimum table). This table was a 3:2, CSM, ENHC so itโ€™s pretty bad quality for counting but I was playing to practice my basic strategy. This guy is throwing out hands of 100 and betting on both side bets and then still criticising my calls (hitting on 16, splitting 8โ€™s, etc) and it was really throwing me to the point where I lost concentration and accidentally hit a A9 and he started tuning me. I just ignored him and kept playing. He busted out in 8 hands and left in a huff (assuming it was more because I wasnโ€™t playing the way he wanted me to than the fact that he busted). As soon as he left I started winning (I was down about 700 at this point) and in 10 minutes I was on +600. Granted I was playing a poker hand side bet because Iโ€™ve found they pay out pretty often and I got a 20:1 payout on a 25 which helped a bit but it really made me laugh that I was able to get about 1000 up as soon as he left the table and I was able to play confidently. If youโ€™re serious about wanting to get better at blackjack, do your own research and donโ€™t listen to the people in casinos. Theyโ€™re the reason casinos make money

Not me. I love the side bets. I've won $40K on a hand once. I win multiple hundred dollars wins.
