Most likely explanation for spontaneous combustion is that they were burned elsewhere and brought back into the crime scene after. No way a human could burn up on one spot and not burn anything surrounding them or no signs of struggle/panic

A lot of elderly forks don't have the right combination of physical factors. I think thin skin, as you might have with a vitamin deficiency in an older person, combined with the fat and smoking with a LOT of alcohol in their system... I think we see it just the right amount, honestly!

Terry sounds like he may've had schizophrenia and tourette syndrome. While those two things might make someone crazy, they will not necessarily hinder intelligence.

I agree with the wick effect as being the most likely explanation for cases of SHC, at least for most cases. There are some that make you wonder, though.

I find it unlikely that the people were alive when this was going on though. Maybe passed from some other cause, and then the body was consumed by a fire started by an external fire source, like the one case of the lady who was found near the firs place, my guess with that one is she had a heart attack or stroke, or something like that, then fell into the fireplace which set her clothes on fire, other cases could be explained by a lit cigarette, but not all of them.

my grandma has a friend who is close with me as well, and she is a retired forensic scientist. she lived in oklahoma city when the bombing happened. she still talks to this day about how her, and the forensic team are still wondering about that leg they were taking DNA samples for. i hope the person who’s leg this belonged to is identified, and their family will have answers
