How can you transform passive learning into active learning?

Learning is not a spectator sport. I’ve been saying that for over twenty years because the human brain simply isn’t designed to effectively learn through information consumption alone. You learn better—and faster—when you create and co-create material in a method known as active learning.

Thank you so much❤

— @funmisols

In today’s episode, I’m going to share six tactical steps that can help you transform your learning from passive to active. With these six keys, you’ll learn more in less time, allowing you to achieve results you never thought possible.

Knowledge by itself isn’t power. It only becomes power when you apply and implement it—when you take action. You develop deeper understanding, helping you to connect new information with what you already know. If you’ve been struggling to take your learning to a whole new level, this episode is for you.

One of my favorite retrieval methods is just assigning a concept a related word that starts with the same letter or sounds similar. It really helps me remember words and topics.

I was literally tired of forgetting my learnings. For more than 2 years I struggled a lot to teach myself how to learn anything well.

Today after watching this video, I realised all the things I was doing was totally wrong and what it takes to learn something faster.

Your efforts of making this video is appreciated ❤.

I will surely update you about my progress after few weeks, Thanks JIM

6 Rs to Remember, Become what you Learn

Read...Listen,

Reflect..what does that even mean

Record..voice, notes, what did you rememeber
reprogram..in own words

Relay..Relate!!...Share what you learn, have s9meone poke holes

Retrieval...Have someone say it back to you

Review it..why it matters

this was an awesome start!

also.... what helped me as a tactile learner:

Remind yourself you CAN learn this
Open your mind
Reach out to More, New info
Rewrite in own words
Revise
Discuss
Diagram
Reteach
Draw cards kf main concept
What it is and why ite important how you can Use it
Learn as if to teach

I kind of feel there is not much difference between Reflect and Retrieval. Please correct me and explain the difference between the two?

Rapid learning.1. Read something for 15min. 2. Take your time to summary what he say in your own words. 3. Teach them about what you just read. Specific step you need to do. 1. Reading documents, lectures or books. 2. Reflect. Thinking what did you read? 3. Record: write down on your notes.4. Relate. Learning can be effected by social. Try to share your knowledge with other people and pretend as teacher teaching student. 5. Active retrieval. Asking question and answer question without seeing document. Let’s see how much did you remember from what you have learn. 6. Review (space repetition) is a key to move knowledge from short to long time memory.
