I grew up a Greek kid in the projects of nyc and all you knew back then was the music of the culture which was rap. As I got older and into my mid to late 20’s I began attending classical shows at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. It was an experience I wanted to cherish so I would get the mezzanine private booth. I would go alone and although I knew nothing about the composers or their work the music was truly amazing, peaceful, and would rest my soul.
