If I'm playing as minor nation, i go with concentrated industry. It gives bonus on not changing the lines and if i have something new, i can just make a new line. If I'm playing a medium to large nation where i know i will be constantly switching, i go dispersed industry and double lines. One is for upgrades and new tech, the other is to keep producing/converting equipment

3:14 If a country has many different types of submarines, you can also click on the "Create new taskforce" button without ships selected which allows you to sort out all submarines or all carriers or all destroyers and so on (you should really only do this with submarines).

Why in thee world is there not a select all button for navy? Like select all. Then you can choose all of which to select. It would make making task force so much easier. Select all carries then shift click two and place there, select all battleships shift click eight and place with the carries. It would be so simple to create your own navys then. Not this whole moving them all into one place then sort through them manually. Its insane.

When your navy is stacked, you can separate individual ships of a particular class, or the entire class, by right clicking their icon to the right of the commander portrait. Say you want all subs in the battle group, just right click the sub icon and all the subs will be selected, or specific subs if you want that.

Bit late to the party, but for the first part make sure you remove all support companies from your cavalry. You're going to lose a whole lotta support equipment for nothing if your cav have recon attached, like most countries have on their horses at the start of the game. Obvious exception is Military Police, you want that for the suppression bonus, but to my knowledge no nation starts with MP on their cav.

Also worth mentioning that if you hover over compliance and look at the gain speed you can set your occupation law accordingly if you're trying to put down resistance without loosing compliance

My name is Hammo and I stream on Twitch! I play a variety of "map games" and strategy games, but my favourite game by far is Hearts of Iron IV.
You folks are so funny. Everything take political points and if you can’t get them you do nothing in the game and everything slows down. Spies ! I can even build a factory or lobby !
I love this game and it's complexity, strategy and historical focus, but these are also reasons people can find it hard to get into Hoi4. The endless spreadsheets, statistics, buffs and debuffs can be overwhelming without someone to show you the ropes, which is where this channel comes in!
I will be creating and posting beginners guides, tutorials, walkthroughs, tips and tricks videos, just about everything I can to get you playing and enjoying Hearts of Iron IV as much as I do!
On any fleet you can separate ships types, by clicking on their icon below the fleet name with ship quantity, and hit select all <ship type>, like all submarines.

What DLC adds spy agency. I have been playing vanilla off & on for like a year. Is the monthly subscription worth it?

@riquelmeoneFive military factories? I played Germany from 1936 to 1943 and all I have is a line of factories built up and they only build one at a time so even after 7 years they're still building the first five or six. I can't find a video that makes it so where they can build more than one at a time. Production is too slow in this game and I can't figure out how to speed it up so every time I end up in a war I'm taking new land but I'm still building on the very first place I've ever built on. That can't be right
@ModernDayRenaissanceManThe occupation law for democratic nations should be local autonomy which will grant a boost to compliance, especially countries like France and Britain these countries have high starting compliance in all their territories. For a country like Germany I would recommend doing civilian administration for Czechia and secret police for everything else. Norway and Poland have large bonuses for resistance in their states occupied by enemies so it’s better to set up a Reichskommissariat in Norway to avoid dealing with the resistance while in Poland I would recommend going up to military governed once resistance gets higher, possibly even martial law. For any communist nation liberated workers should be your occupation law, never anything else. Also side note make sure you occupation template is just cavalry no support companies except maybe military police if you’re just rolling in army experience.
@celestialsword2146There is a a button on navy that looks like a scale, it will distribute your task forces into balanced groups, it will also separate out your submarines and I recommend doing that every time, it’s way faster and more optimal

@DobromirManchevMy personal weakness is just cheating some EXP on day 1 to start up all needed templates and then I just gradually upgrade them as my production allows to equip them.

With colony garrisons do these work in the background or do you have train them then park them in the tile (e.g Cairo) yourself?
Do you recommend attaching air fleets to actual armies or keeping them free to fly around

@rabidusI have the sensation that I got a fucking glitch on the productions because it always gives me the same problem…I did everything I could to fix it but it doesn’t work! (I gave military factories the highest priorities,I followed your guide about Pre-plan your production,I assigned military factories to the productions I needed and my resources are all green ,along with the factories) Also when I check the production line it gives me -100 % for ‘lack resources’ despite having lots of resources! And I even did researches to improve production efficiency growth,efficiency cap ecc..
So yeah..I have an high sensation that is a glitch
