5 MUST TRY Ningxia Night Market Michelin Taiwanese Street Foods 2025 | WATCH to Order like a Local!

Video Overview & Insights

#ningxianightmarket #taipeieats #taipeicity

Thanks 4 the suggestions and we’ll definitely visit them in July “weekend’s” only. Thanks again 4 supporting Taiwan tourism.

— @frankyu4967

Did you know that Ningxia Night Markets is home to FIVE Michelin bib gourmand food stalls?

These five food stalls are consistently in the list year after year for GOOD REASON and so if you're visiting Ningxia Night Market (one of the best night markets in Taipei) in Taipei, Taiwan you MUST TRY all FIVE!

I am a 79-year-old factory retiree with my wife and sister-in-law, looking for a guide to take us around Taipei on Wednesday, July 6,7,8, or 9, but we prefer July 6. I am not a rich American.

— @Captford

In this video I will tell you the name of the Taiwanese Street Foods you NEED to eat in Chinese, English and Chinese pinyin so that you can order despite any language barriers

I will also cover how to get to Ningxia Night markets (closest station etc.), best DAYS to go (not all stores are open 7 days a week) and last but not least my thoughts on each of these michelin rated street foods!

This was a really helpful guide! Had no idea where I was gonna eat but this gave me a lot of solid recs!
Writing this whilst I'm enjoying my Oyster omelette at Yuen Huan Pien haha

Thank you, @phatlife project. Your videos are helpful

01:11 Ningxia Night Markets MUST KNOW before going

01:32 How to Get to Ningxia Night Markets (closest station to Ningxia)

As someone living in Taipei, I love strolling through Ningxia Night Market and trying all these Michelin-recommended bites! You captured the must-try dishes perfectly. It's great to see visitors appreciating our local flavors. Thanks for sharing this delicious tour!

— @MarcillyTaiwan

02:15 Yuan Huan Pien Oyster Egg Omelette (圓環邊蚵仔煎) - 85 TWD/4 AUD

03:38 Fang Chia Shredded Chicken on the Rice (方家雞肉飯 ) - 50 TWD/1.63 AUD

Just yesterday I asked someone which new language they think I should consider learning.. today I’m deep into Taiwanese night life. 🙌 This is a really great channel thank you!

— @TrippyVision220

04:45 Liu Yu Zi Fried Taro Balls (劉芋仔芋餅) - Original 25 TWD (0.80 US$), salted egg york and pork floss taro balls (1.14 US$)

06:09 Lin Zhen Zhao Mochi (林振櫂燒麻糬) - Fresh Mochi 50 TWD (1.60 USD) and Peanut Soup 1.8 USD

This might sound strange but I can’t use metal chopsticks. Something about them just slip through my fingers and I can’t get any grip. Would they be offended if I brought my own chopsticks and used them?

— @IanJTaylor

07:06 Rong's Pork Liver (豬肝榮仔) - Pork Liver Soup (65 TWD/

08:15 What is the BEST day to go to Ningxia Night Market?

I just went to Ningxia, and I agree the golden fried chicken is delicious. However, the salted egg and taro balls are overrated. Do not recommend Liu Yu Zi 劉芋仔蛋黃芋餅 the staff (especially the auntie) is very rude to customers, make sure not to take any photos or she will shout at you for doing so. The Taiwanese people are generally well-mannered polite and kind, this was my only encounter of foul attitude and unwelcome.

I'm also on

You are absolutely correct that Liver slices in a rich, peppery broth are out of this world. I plan to visit Taipei in August and experience the "hot" Ningxia night market again. Given the temperature in Taipei during the hot summer, it's not surprising that I will go for the shaved ice next. Thank you for the informative video and the stalls you introduced here. It's one of the best channels when it comes to enlightening food lovers and travellers that know very little of Taipei street food.

Thanks for the “best days” recommendation. It helps to plan my trip to Taipei!

My hotel was near Ningxia night market, I thought it wasn’t a famous night market in Taipei as other videos never talked about it on YouTube. And I tried the oyster omelette in that stall too on Monday and it was open I ta pao 2 portions due to so many people eating at the stall.

Food tastes better during the night when its cooler. No matter how nice it is, eating in the dark 8f night just adds an extra rste to the food.

Yuan Huan Pien Oyster now only opened on Friday, Saturday and Sunday😢

The mochi place also sells peanut and sesame mochi over shaved ice. It’s really good and refreshing!! The contrast between the hot sticky mochi and coolness of the ice highlights the softness of mochi while giving different textures.

Great video. Very informative especially for people who are bilingual. I didn't get to go there during my visit in 2023 lunar new year. Come this X'mas, me and my wife will go back to Taipei again and I will certainly make a visit there. Seems the food there are fantastic. Unfortunately I am a small eater but nevertheless I will try as much as my belly can hold. I certainly would want to try the liver soup.
