RMS Titanic is history's most infamous ship - somehow the liner's story continues to grip us to this day. Few stories capture the imagination of the human mind as the tale of the RMS Titanic. It’s like a Greek tragedy - an epic that can resonate with everybody at any age and from any country around the globe. Maybe we see ourselves among the passengers and crew and imagine what we’d have done that night - maybe its the ship itself, the tragic idea that everything down there on the ocean floor, now tattered, bent, rotten and broke - was once brand-new, barely used, supposed to be destined for a long and happy career at sea. We’ve spent five years studying this ship and its story and are nowhere near close to running out of topics to cover - but here, today, in April 2026 -some 114 years after Titanic was lost - are the videos we’ve made that, in my opinion, best tell the ship’s story; from design and construction to loss and destruction. This is the story of Titanic told over 6 hours - so please, if you’re watching this in parts, listening on long drives and commute or you just need a sleeping aid - please enjoy this deep-dive on history’s most famous vessel. I've long wanted to tell Titanic's story from beginning to end. Believe it or not even though we've spoken about Titanic for 5 years on this channel I've never actually told a straight re-telling of the entire story! I had planned on a large, 6-part series detailing Titanic's entire life and career but, given time constraints, have decided to put that off until next year. In the meantime please snjoy this curated collection of films we've made over the last few years which, arranged and cultivated in order, tell much of Titanic's tale from the shipyard to the bottom of the North Atlantic.

@ChelseaClark-f5k@oceanlinerdesigns Our friend Mike Brady, I needed to just put this out there, as it's fresh on my mind and a little light on my wallet. Over the weekend, I attended the traveling Titanic exhibit in Charlotte, NC. Having attended / viewed the Titanic exhibit in Las Vegas at the Luxor in May, I was excited to see how the traveling exhibit was and to see what discoveries I may have missed. I was...disappointed. While the overall theme was similar, it was sorely lacking in actual pieces from the great ship. It was very heavily slanted on not only the Cameron movie, but also on Olympic. Most of the exhibits WERE from Olympic, not Titanic. Now, that was a fascinating dive (no pun intended) but it was no where close to what LV was - but I was at least hoping for a few new looks. And, going back a decade or so, my first visit to a Titanic traveling exhibit had a large number of items - the famous "rack of au gratin dishes", luggage, shoes, etc. SO glad I had time to visit the LV exhibit (and, of course see the big piece).

@fmyoungwild that all 3 major players that opposed and could've thwarted the federal reserve went down on the ship, and the federal reserve was founded the following year, effectively taking financial hold of the united states and its citizens from then on. but, like the lusitania, it totally happened the way the story said.

@aliceh3995This is the first time I ever been told about pets aboard or the first time I actually processed it. He said “some were walking their dogs…” I had to take a second. So terrifying and sad at every angle.
Edit - I looked it up and there were sooo many animals that couldn’t be saved, not just pets and I’m upset I didn’t know before now. The mascot was a cat named Jenny and she died with her LITTER OF KITTENS. 😭
