Acting is reacting off your partner
@china3312Awesome insight and experience and advice ❤ thanks 🙏🏾
@prophetrontate8:24 Sweetie! “This interviewer….“. For god’s sake, that’s Dick Cavett!! Besides being Dick Cavett, he’s the one who told Norman Mailer, (who was very pugilistic)’ “Why don’t you fold it five times and shove where the sun don’t shine!!” At the time, that was a “What did he just say!?” With an, Oh no! big smile :)
@feralblueeI did the more coffee bit and did it 4 completely different ways - nonchalant, distracted, oh god, Yes, and absolutely desperate! I’m sure the kid coulda done better if he were relaxed. :)
@feralblueeDon't get into an acting career. You will retire broke. But, if that's what you want, then go ahead and saw the air.
@quartytypo05:19 You aced the Aubrey Plaza Acting School
@bodi.a.rTry to be anything and everything without trying 😁
@UBOI-01My favorite actors are classically trained with huge larger than life projection... typically found in theater settings. There's no microphone or camera picking up on your every word. Film actors and theater typically have different skill sets
@ChrisScott-r1fI saw a lot of Meisner and Improv advice from Viola.
@eyeofhorus99I always thought I had to try hard and I would practice hours for an Audition and never get the role I believe I have been trying to hard all along.
@SuzyJohnson-d8gDoes this guy have a 10 hour Materclass 2.0 by chance? I didn't see in the video
@rikkitikki9193Thankyou a ton
@yogeshsemwal5706Sometimes if you try really hard to act, youll be horrible 😂😅
@StormChaserBritthe best acting is from you pretending to watch the video with us 😄
@WastefulMediaIncredible! Magic is magic, we simply have to get out of the way. Every day is essentially deep embedded nature for us as human beings. We simply step into the journey and do our best to navigate the course to the best of our abilities. Everything we face is the perpetual beginning and end. Clifton Develle Cameron
@pendulumdistinctionThe best thing I ever heard for acting was putting all your focus outside of yourself. What’s your scene partner doing? Where are you rn? Are there other people around? What does that look on your partners face mean? It all contributes to being present in your surroundings.
That, and active listening. Really think about what your partner said. How does it make you feel? Best of luck to ya 👊
The actor you chose are the epitome of fine acting. They offer nothing but inspiration!
@CouragetobeDwayneBarnesDude, your videos are great!
Thank you for your job, it's very interesting to watch and listen =)
I think some people are blessed with a resting facial expression that signals an emotion.
@MikesterCurtisAmazing thank you!
@WendyLloydTVThank you.
@maneeshahooja9:01 this is so funny because while he said this, I was finishing putting food on a table to eat, while watching this video.😅
@black.sasuke.uchihaI was just in my first film. Richmond’s 48 Hour Horror Film Festival and the producer said he wants me as the lead character on the next project and wanted to thank you for giving me advice and tips to help along my journey.
@JustinGRhodes❤
@StanleytonnaI remember learning to not over prepare a scene or say “that’s not how I wanted it to go in my head.” You have to learn to be okay with how the scene comes out even if it’s different than what you wanted because it’s just real that way.
@BreannaDeTranoWhen acting I like to put in my mind that I’m alone with a person no cameras no audience and no script forget everything about what they are going to say or do truly listen take in what they are saying and “dont act just react” as you would if the situation was happening to you let your lines flow naturally
@sicosta9104In Cinema, I find that actors have tremendous difficulty staying silent and letting the movie and set do its thing.
@kingjariesI try too hard, way too much! I overthink things, try extra hard to be natural, but nerves.
@hiswayservicesblog9288Nice^ thank you!
