5 Easy Passive Income Streams for Beginners Over 50 (Work From Home)

I'm just 58. Forced retirement from a job I loved (Parks service)! Disabled. MS. Could no longer perform my duties at work. What even sucks more about it! In my 40's I went back to school and finish my degree. I was considered for management at the park when my boss retired (you have to have a college degree to be mgr. in most state and fed. parks). My boss retired 3 years before had to. As a mgr. my salary would triple or even quadruple! But as the saying goes, "life isn't fair".... lol. I'm doing O.K., financially, but always looking to make more money. Got lucky a few years back, got a small inheritance. Not big, but enough to make $10k a year in investments. Only make $12,000 with disability. So, a little over $20k a year. But never made much over $20k working anyway. Been retired now almost 3 years. So, out of that initial panic stage. Plus, things like gas are not an issue now (this was a big expense when I worked). Groceries on the other hand! Are a different story. You see all the thing on the internet (YouTube in particular) that say you need $500,000 or a million to retire. Hummm? All depends. If you are used to that life style, have a expensive mortgage, etc. Sure! But if you are like me, no mortgage, used to living on $20k, you certainly don't need anywhere near 1/2 a million. You don't even need $100k. But always need more money. Right? So, I always watch these things about side hustles. Yeah, I'm big into the "how to" videos on YouTube. Thought about making a video on disability benefits (not just gov. but non-profit). Yeah, there are some on YouTube, but most of them suck! They are vague and don't give much information.

I'm gona think about it.

None of this is “passive”… you have a ton of “work” involved in all of this work…so happy for you that it’s working out but these business concepts are not for the beginner
