BlackRain, I play poker with my friends around weekly($20 buy ins), and earlier this year i was the "fish". I loved playing and hanging out with my friends, but I was already down $100 just 2-3 months into the year and it was embarrassing. Since then, I've had a swing of $480, and I'm up $380 on the year. Thanks for your tips I really appreciate it

So buy in for $200, raise by $20 pre-flop, then re-raise to $100 pre-flop got it man im going to have such a great time at the poker table.
Oh on top of that, do this for every hand regardless of what you have. I dont even have to look at my hand im just jamming on the river so youll never know when im bluffing
In this poker lesson I break down several key strategy fundamentals — including which hands to play and when to bet, raise, bluff, or fold.

Thank you! I’ve watched a lot of your vids, but this one has been my favourite so far! Very helpful and informative!
Poker is fundamentally a game of skill and I believe that focusing on the basics is the most effective way to improve your game.

Your tips sound great, but I still need to learn the very basics. Where do you suggest I start, please?

Nathan; I need y I your help. I gave up black Jack 14 years ago to exclusively learn more poker. I have studied and played mostly in tournaments and although I know my stats are higher let's say I win about 10-15% of those tournaments and they are all low buy in with great pay outs,considering. I have a great strategy for cash. I start with $100 and take only $200. I get up early like $250-$450 in 30 minutes 90% of the time. A few days I got up and left,other days I was able to play a long day and maybe keep over $500-$600. Others,I take 400-500 get up andvthen just keep buying in. My specific problem is I can't play a long time with a good size stack. Help?

Nathan it seems like we’d be throwing away a lot of money if we don’t hit by the river. How do we readjust with reverting back to making smaller bets?
@terrencesablan893$1/$3 cash game any raise is over $15, $20 pre flop…..
@daylsonoliveira5548thank you
@fatihcoskun1208I decided to try and learn on VR poker but it’s hard because it’s not real money so if I raise 10x the Bb pre flop I still get between 3-5 callers almost every time lol. Even if I go all in pre flop people are calling with speculative hands and I lose most of the time. I just have to bounce around until I find a table not full of crazy people
@richie50Hi Nathan. I like your instructional videos. Great delivery. I almost play MTT's exclusively. Do you think your strategies cross both cash and tourney's? Thanks
@gregk7116Solid basic strategies. I need strategies on how good players try to trap me by betting patterns and position. What are the signs that are more often than not legitimate and not a bluff.
@jymdaddy146510:12 this tip should be reversed: fold middle pair to a 20-30% river bet!! Just because the opponent gives us a good price, does not mean we should call with a losing hand. It's a waste. 30% pot pay just to se the hand that beat us, is too expensive to get such info.
@pot_kivach160Learning all those strategies is useless, right? Of course the strategies so work, but how effective are they if everybody else know them too?
@pestore7What if you realize your opponent doesn't have good hand to call large 50% pot size bet. Can we bet 1/4 of pot or less to make him crying call?
@nadamin8the 50/75/75 betting strat is great to know. i'll definitely be doing this!
@gamersparadise743chit! my first poker live tables ever i did 100 bankroll, it was 1/3blinds lol...course i lost all my 100 cuz it was too shortstacked...next time i'll put 300!
@kleptodathief3946I have a question regarding playing with beginners. If my hand is weak (e.g. 8,3 offsuit) and everyone has only paid the minimum preflop (e.g. big blind), should I just limp in as well to see the flop?
@christiaanmostert8951Happy New Year Nathan!!! Great vid 👍
@he--ru362This game is getting fun now that I am winning more and understand. I got one of those click counters to keep me accountable on how many hands I play per hour. Hitting closer to 20-25% including BB. It still hurts me to fold 77 until I see the river and I'm all better again.
@dk40001Online poker never works out your tips. I tried those things from your previous videos but some guys call with nothing in hand like 29, 59 etc and guess what they always beat my pocket aces kks Aks etc
@This_User178I do have a question on your tip #3 what should you do as far as bedding, raising or folding if you don’t hit on the flop with your premium i.e. your pocket queens if you can tell us that I know you can’t give away all your secrets, but it would be much appreciated
@11BReloI am absolutely serious when I say this all your strategies 100% have worked for me every time I followed it I have one granted I know there’s more advanced strategies that I’m working out but when I deviated from your base strategy, that’s usually when I’ve lost not all the time, but majority of the time when I try to play against your strategy or I messed up and I don’t follow it because I get distracted or whatever when I get back and I follow your strategy I win 100% of the time
@11BReloYou ain’t gonna catch ME, Nathan! I’m too FAST for ya! 🏃💨
@mumblesbadly7708i think you are the best. 💪🏻
@mrpenabommOhh this explains a lot. Thank you 👍
@Lita-yr4wtLazy half pot betting feels like bad advice. But I guess not terrible for absolute beginners.
@ZakWhinnieYou should end your videos by saying;
"I will catch you on the flip side."
