I'm curious... what would be the best way to respond to the question 'di dove sei?' if one nationality is not enough to explain your background. For example, in English I would often say I am British Chinese, I was born in Hong Kong but raised in the UK. I find 'sono di Hong Kong / sono inglese' only covers partially what I want to say.

Lieben herzlichen Dank! Ihr seid echt spitze und unheimlich sympathisch! A presto!

I'm teaching my dog Italian phrases (as best I can), in preparation for my pets and I moving to Toscana in May. I want her to understand what people say to her, and to be able to speak to local dogs myself🤣(e gatti). (You can clearly see my priorities here.) I would LOVE to see a video on common pet phrases. I've been improvising with things like siediti, buona cagnolina, vieni qui, stringi la mano... Sta imparando l'italiano piu velocemente di me.

I almost always begin a conversation at offices with "Sto imperando italiano." Really, always. This is after 8 years in residence and many many lessons. I have trouble keeping up, but usually I understand the gist. Often am complimented, but really my italiano is poor.

My wife and I are moving to small town in Abruzzo. Spent @3 months there. Hardly any english in Abruzzo; not even at the Hertz rental desk. We are older, and not sure if we will ever be fluent, but people in Abruzzo are very patient and kind with our efforts with Italian. Thanks for the videos.
