I am hearing @TheWhyFiles π
You're about to get 4 years of my most valuable pickleball lessons in a 15 minute video. If someone had explained these concepts to me when I first started playing, I would have progressed so much faster. So I'm extremely excited to be sharing them with you!
I give away 1 FREE paddle, 1 advanced tip, 1 related drill, and answer 1 question every week in my 'Road to Pro' newsletterπ
as a former table tennis player, i can relate to most of your instructions. i believe you have an excellent foundation. i just started a few months ago and i need to have the stamina to play against these younger and faster players.

I've played tennis for over 40 years and took up pickleball last year. Within a short time I was assessed as a 4.5 and within a year I was assessed as a 5.5. It wasn't just my years as a tennis player, but my fitness and agility that got me there so quickly.
One thing I don't hear from coaches is that to be a good pickleball player, you need to be fit and agile. Pickleball requires both aerobic and anaerobic fitness. You also need to be flexible and quick on your feet.
It's shocking to see people of all ages playing pickleball for only 15-20 minutes, and they start to get bombed out.
If you want to be a good pickleball player, especially if you want to bump up to a 5.0 or beyond, spend time off the court working on your fitness, mobility and flexibility.

@anthonylopez6135Shea, I really appreciate how there are no wasted words in this video. It was scripted out, organized, the video camera angles were well chosen, and you can go back over and over within a segment and learn something new each time you listen. This is the best presented information on Pickleball that Iβve seen on YouTube and have looked at hundreds of videos. Congratulations Thank you.

@gooddude9211What was your first DUPR score when you started? Started last year without any racquet sports. Close to 4.0 now. Journey from 3.5 to 4 is hard. Its easier now beat 4.0s

@reys7510Goof stuff
@FICTORIAGreat video
@hammycrackers8521Subbed. Great cliff notes
@stevonanzaldua6280:30 - L1. target your serve outside of their left foot
2:30 - L2. shot peaking - the ball on your dink should peak on your side of the court and should fall when crossing the net
3:20 - L3. spin continuation.
5:40 - L4. aim your drive. don't think of drive as a winner. aim to forehand close to their hip.
6:30 - L5. aim your drops. 3rd shot aim towards the middle of the kitchen.
8:00 - L6. don't do lift dink after opponents lift dink, but rather push. Respond with lift dink to a push.
8:50 - L7. target worst dinker. target primary dink location until there is an open space on another side
10:50 - L8. ready position guessing. don't commit to a shot your guess will happen.
11:30 - L9. it's ok to backup. allow the ball to hit the court, so it loses energy and you can hit a better shot.
13:20 - L10. attack the side which is most inconvenient for the opponent to defend
Absolutely fantastic video! I learned so much. Thank you, Shea!
@MichaelMeltzer-x5cThis video is so good, Iβm gonna watch it again, and take notes. Very helpful stuff!
@rjsophia3712Great videos! Thank you for sharing your expertise.
@OfficialNPLAll these teachers talk about where one should target the ball but they never talk about how to control the ball and the process of aiming the ball with accuracy. Like you tell a beginner to accurately place the ball somewhere and watching that ball go somewhere else. That is my challenge when I am teaching my kids to play.
