Bear cubs are adorable, it's only when they get a little older that they can be a serious problem.
Being a Cherokee who grew up mostly wild myself, I've had the opportunity to observe black bear cubs. They're absolutely gorgeous and funny, until they get older, like I said.
Stoats are really interesting and flipping dangerous creatures for whatever they want to eat.
I had a weasel as a Cherokee kid, at least until she grew up and we let her go into the wild.
I went back every day to see if she wanted to come back to me. The answer was no. She never returned to the place I let her go.
That made me very glad because I worked hard to not let her become a pet.
About 30 years ago I had an Irish Wolfhound who was the sweetest dog I've ever known.
My then wife had 5 cats. They would climb onto Kylie's body and pull her face, her ears, and the worst thing she ever did to the cats was hold them down very gently with her paws and wash them. She did that daily. The cats got used to it and would literally look for her to get their baths from a giant Irish Wolfhound, it was hilarious.
The only bad thing I can say about Irish Wolfhounds is their short lifespans. It broke my heart.

0:48 oh, I don’t agree that. I see many instances where the best thing for the animal was to just leave them the choice. Outdoor rehabilitation for flying foxes. They put the injured bats in the enclosure, and let them leave when they want to. I don’t think familiarity with our species is always a death sentence. We live in an area where there is no hunting. The deer in our neighborhood have never known what it is like to have a person shooting at them. There’s no conflict other than the one who get run over by cars. It might just be the only thing keeping the population in check. Foster wild creatures. Set them up a safe place in your back yard they can return to in time of trouble. The best of everything a wild animal could have.

Opossums are the most misunderstood, sweetest, gentlest - and cleanest - little guys. People mistake them for being like "big rats". They eat disease for breakfast! Literally! I don't know of any other vertebrate that can digest and, therefore, neutralise rabies..

They're nature's cutest cleanup crew.
