A correction about the city of London... It's small
The city of London is 1.12 square miles with a population of 15,000
Greater London which you were referring to is 606 square miles and a population of 9,074,000.

@VyvyanbstardThe United Kingdom is NOT, a country! It is a political union of two sovereign nations and part of Ireland that was a former British colony. You provide the perfect example of thinking you already know. Not, a good start!
Later you go on to say, there are four countries in the "country" called the UK. Neither Wales, nor Northern Ireland was ever, a unified sovereign nation. There two crowns in a union through the individual that holds them, and there are two nations in a political union, - Scotland and England. The Union of The Crowns and The Act of Union were two separate events and treaties.
The English like to pretend Wales and Northern Ireland are nations, but they are not and never have been. Scotland and England are sovereign nations.
Everything below the spring high tide mark is owned by The Crown including, dolphins and whales. Orcas say, the British Isles belong to them.
It was standard practice to build settlements on riverbanks, for obvious reasons, with the best spot being at the end of the tidal stretch, often offering the lowest crossable point on the river alongside, being the highest navigable point. Glasgow, Stirling, Carlisle, Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Gloucester, etc, are in similar locations for the same reasons.
The only "insane" element in this vid are your delusions of being an educator.

@johnthomson4011We are taught that the location of London was where the Romans were first able to ford the river Thames (at low tide) in about 47 AD. And on the north bank they built a standard Roman fort. It was square shaped and dimensioned 1 mile x 1 mile. The word "mile" comes from the Latin "mille" (one thousand). One "mille" meant one thousant double Roman strides. Today the City of London is roughly square shaped and measures about one mile by one mile. Almost nobody lives there, it's all skyscapers and offices.
