Net worth is hands down my favourite metric to track! I wish I had been tracking it when we had our student loan debt up to where we are now but I am happy we have the historical data that we do have. For us the biggest challenge was deciding what assets we wanted to include and what we wanted to leave out; the liabilities - no choice on those ones!! But tinkering with what is included gives us a nice range from the most conservative to the more lenient.

I use a printable from budgetmom and I use a spreadsheet. But I don’t factor the value of my house in this calculation. I live in California and the housing values are cray cray. I have so much equity that I think it wouldn’t make tracking net worth beneficial to me.
