Hi SpicyUke, this was a wonderful video tutorial of some really great songs. I am 59 and I primarily play the Baritone Uke and I find that within my circles that very few of my family and friends are musical or play any instruments. Most of them are un-impressed by my Uke playing. I have been playing for about 2 years now, and have about 50+ songs under my belt that I practice and play every day. All of which are popular hits that all Guitarists and Uke players use in their gigs and sets. They are all crowd pleasers from the 1970's, 1980's. 1990's and early 2,000's and are favorites with my family and friends. Somewhere Over the Rainbow, and I'm Yours are just 2 of the ones I play daily. Everyone I play for say that I play wonderfully, yet nobody ever asks me to play and I find that I get the same reactions from people that I have seen almost every Busker out on the street get, or musician in a restaurant. People have conversations while I play and it drives me crazy. I have been to 2 outdoor parties this summer and played my Baritone Uke with one friend who is a Guitarist and we played songs together entertaining friends and it went well for only about 5 songs before the crowd got bored and broke off into groups to talk amongst themselves while my friend and I continued playing.
