3 Disturbing TRUE Camping Horror Stories

I’m always shocked at how testosterone deficient these men are. Taking bad advice from their hysterical girlfriends and not even armed to protect themselves and their girlfriends.

1st story was 100% made up

In the last story, I wish he woulda let the intrusive thoughts win instead of warning the guy outside the tent he had a gun. Imagine the reaction of those other two mountain people when their buddy tries the zipper and suddenly has no scalp.

That Aiden guy just seems like a fucking weirdo and his explanations for things doesn’t make any sense. “It’s really weird to see people as young as you at the campsite because all this stuff happens” well then why the fuck would that make any more sense for older people to be there.

I grew up in Buena Vista, Colorado. Its about 40 miles south of the historic wild west town Leadville.

I believe they are talking about 4 Mile near the Arkansas River. They must have been camping near one of the many river rafting drop zones.

Or they could been have been camping by KOA campground on Sleeping Indian. The Sherrifs Dept and Forest service keep pretty close tabs on both locations because they are both party places for high schoolers for underage drinking and drug use.

When RV living, hiking or camping in the deep woods, I always carry a S&W 7-shot .357 snub nose revolver with me with two speed loaders, 21 rds ammo total as well as an 8" blade hunting knife, and a survival pack (with water, first aid kit, fire starter, food bars, an emergency blanket, a flashlight, a headlight, and a flare stick). I also wear a whistle around my neck. What is handy and doesn't weigh or cost much is a powerful red laser pointer pen, great for signaling and blinding any predator's eyes. I always feel safe walking/camping with my Smith & Wesson.

Aiden was innocent. You mean to tell me that his tires were slashed and OPs weren’t? I seen someone say Aiden was the third person when they heard two people talking at the campsite and then three people standing in the woods close to the end of the story. That would make no sense seeing that OP already drove 100 yards down the road leaving Aiden at his car, which would mean Aiden would have had to hypothetically run faster than the car for 100 yards to just stand in the woods and stare at OPs car😭Either way if Aiden had that much access to their car and their campsite, you would think he would’ve done something already.

The shared fear and 'mind reading' vibes in the first story gave me the biggest chills. That energy was just wrong.

It's possible that the blue sedan had that tire gashed like that the whole time. And it was just a pity ploy to get a hitch hike. Then once inside the car he holds you at gun point and leads you to those goons who kill you or something. Although why they didn't strike in the night is a mystery to me. May have been easier. But I guess every whacko group has their MO pattern or whatnot.

I hope Aiden is okay. Idk if he was in on it or not, but with how it was ending I would like to think he was innocent, Hopefully he was able to hide until the cops arrived. I thought the tires being slashed was a way to get them to let him in, or keep them around, however he never tried to make them stay and understood/accepted without argument when they said no. If a person was planning on doing something wrong, they would argue and try to convince you not just immediately accept your answer.

Question about story #3. Did he keep the notebook with the tally’s? Seemed like that’s why whatever was trying to get into his tent was doing. Book was full of marks and as soon as the book was taken it started using the trees.

Okay so who else thought Caydince was kind of a jerk? First, who goes camping and gets upset because you camp neighbor comes and says hi? Why would you be bothered by that? Second, who is slashing their tire to convince you all that he’s not part of the deliverance crew? Do you all not realize how much tires actually cost? Third, who cares if you aren’t comfortable with someone who needs help, would you like it if you were in their situation and they told you I’m sorry I’m not comfortable with me helping you get killed by the creepy mountain people.
