25 Simulation Theory Facts That Will Make You Question Everything
Video Overview & Insights
Some of the smartest people on the planet — Nobel Prize winners, theoretical physicists, Silicon Valley billionaires — genuinely believe there's a real chance we're living inside a computer simulation. Not as a metaphor. Not as a thought experiment. As a serious scientific and philosophical hypothesis that has gained significant traction in mainstream academia. The reasoning is more compelling than you'd expect. And some of it is genuinely hard to shake once you've heard it. These are 25 Simulation Theory Facts That Will Make You Question Everything.

We are not in a universe wide simulation, what’s out there is real. What is akin to a kind of simulation is the goings on in our brain, the reconstructed almost live feed that lets us experience existence.

0:00 - Intro
0:38 - Elon Musk Thinks There's a One in Billions Chance We're in Base Reality
None of these are facts.
String theory hasn't even found any evidence for it yet.
Also, the "quantum mechanics" trick is a misunderstanding of quantum mechanics. There may be no quantum collapse at all.
1:34 - The Math Behind It Is Genuinely Convincing
2:17 - Physicists Have Found "Glitches" in Reality
2:57 - The Speed of Light Might Be a Processing Limit
3:31 - Quantum Mechanics Behaves Like a Video Game Loading Trick
It’s almost like we are made in “gods” image. The universe does not mimic simulation. Our simulations mimic the laws of the universe.
4:10 - The Planck Length Might Be a Pixel
4:48 - The Universe Seems to Have a Maximum Data Density
TLDW: Scientists discover theism.
5:18 - Neil deGrasse Tyson Puts the Odds at 50-50
5:56 - The Universe Might Have Been "Turned On" Recently
Some of the smartest ppl on the planet?
6:27 - Time Dilation Could Be a Processing Optimization
7:03 - We're Already Building Simulations of Our Own
Avoid unnecessary adjectives, especially cliches. You describe Bostrum's argument as being deceptively simple, without explaining why it is deceptive. In other words, "deceptively" was just important-sounding filler.
7:39 - Consciousness Is Still Totally Unexplained
8:14 - The Universe Has Suspiciously Perfect Physical Constants
Elon is an actor.
8:52 - Random Numbers Don't Really Exist in Computers
9:29 - Black Holes Delete Information (Or Do They?)
It's just religion for nerd. There's no solid argument for it. And using Musk as a reason for anything, insults the rest of the list.
10:04 - The Mandela Effect Might Be Patch Updates
10:40 - Déjà Vu Might Be a Memory Buffer Error
Elon is an idiot, so that's not a very compelling argument.
11:10 - The Universe Started with Incredibly Low Entropy
11:42 - We Can't Find Evidence of Alien Civilizations
So intelligent design where consciousness(souls) are housed inside npcs until they are eliminated from the simulation and consciousness is returned to where it came from
12:16 - Physics Gets Weirder the Closer You Look
12:50 - We Might Be NPCs, Not Players
Simulation suggest a programmer...but an all powerful God? That's just silly! SMH
13:23 - Death Might Not Be the End (In a Simulation)
14:07 - Our Simulators Might Be Running Their Own Simulations
So the heavens and the earth were created by a supreme being. Where have I heard this before?
14:42 - There's No Way to Prove We're NOT in a Simulation
15:17 - The Simulation Could End At Any Moment

This is a fun little thing to chat with amongst friends over a beer. But, unfortunately for the zealots, it fails all basic logic checks. In fact, when it's measured for any integrity it doesn't answer as single question.
But I'll admit, for being a basic little hypothetical, it does seem to generate an abnormal amount of conversation.

Most of these items are blatant guesses. I especially like it wen he says "Elon Musk thinks...". Elon Musk is def not a philosopher and just because he's wealthy doesn't make him any brighter than anyone else. At any rate, all of this hypothetical trivia is just that; trivia. Not a single one of these "what ifs" has any effect on my ability to control or effect my environment. A physicist gets off on using math to attempt to prove this stuff, and can sometimes perform an experiment (think double slit experiment), but they never have a factual proof to explain the results, only more guesses. All this is interesting, but I won't miss my favorite TV show to listen to this stuff.

He hasn't played since & he just left the machine on.

More User Perspectives
This is easy. If we are in a simulation, then all this AI THEORY LEARNING, has already happened. Why would "they" run simulations on stuff they already know?!
@woweltiburonSimulation seems more appealing than base reality. If I am an NPC, that explains why I constantly make bad choices.
@sbalfThis video perpetuates the misunderstanding of the double slit measurement. It's probably the most compelling theory about the simulation... and its all because of a misunderstanding born from trying to convey the idea.
The "Observer Effect" is not what it seems. Whats crucial to understand is that, for that experiment, the act of measuring is distructive to the randomness and creates order. It's not simply some guy standing there looking at the test that causes the order to appear, as is what people take away from it. It's more like... lets see...
Its like saying the act of observing the rain causes it to not hit a spot on the ground in the shape of your hand. Yea. Holding o
It's like... holding your hand out of a window to check if its raining, then saying the simple act of looking at the rain causes it to not hit a spot on the ground (a spot that happens to be in the shape of your hand). IDK. Not a perfect example. If physists could convey it perfectly, I don't assume I can either. But... it still should help.
That all said... That "error correction code" in math is interesting. It sounds like... maybe the next best evidence? But if its anything like the observer effect, its a result of not being easy to convey it in common terms. I'm no math guy... so as much as I'd like to dive in more to understand it, its probably beyond me.
Thunder and flash being weapons of the gods and the Milky Way being actual milk from a goddess also are hypothesis shaped by the environment and abilities of the people who believed it. To them, this made absolute sense. Humanity has known computers only for a very short time. They are everywhere in our lives. Now people start to believe computers are involved in everything, even our very existence.
@teniente_snafuGod
@sleeeeepIf Elon Musk thinks something is realistic or probable, it's assured to be wrong!
@JabelldiMarco-b3nThe birthrates arent dropping because people arent procreating. They are dropping because after people unplug (die) they dont want to plug back in for another life.
@Mackapacka-v2xDid you just say silicon valley billionaires are some of the smartest people in the world? Hilarious. I paused the video just to say that you are obviously not a person anyone should be taking serious. I am giving you a thumbs down and closing this video before you give me an anurism.
@johnkramer812I think not. If we cannot travel between stars, the rest of the universe, the rest of our galaxy, is unuseful and no-one would expend resources to built something unuseful.
@Filohippo2Interesting theory
Bio computers are popping up
People say how can simulation theory be possible considering the computing power and resources it’d take to power said simulations and said human experiences
Well wet ware computers could become super efficient and I guess a civilization could theoretically use nuclear power
Not to mention the yet to be seen advancements
Also let’s just take a look at how the US is already putting resources to data centers over resources to people
Or the oddities and rabbit hole that is Neurolink
Also without the true definition of consciousness who knows
The Truman theory could be real for someone
Is everyone around an efficient simulation of sorts running in order to extract you like a battery matrix style
Who knows
God created our simulation.
@crowe668"Here's the kicker...If creating a perfect simulation is possible then statistically its probably already happened." Wtf? Did you get that from Strange Wilderness, because that's what it sounded like. Some real deal moron sh**. Stopped watching right there.
@jonstundralife5897Busted… I’ll reset the game in 3, 2…..
@gavinrodriguesartI don't buy number 7, “We can't find evidence of alien civilizations”.
We have already made so many videogames with aliens in it. We even have made so many videogames with fantastical beings, creatures, monsters, ghosts, vampires, and more.
Number 7 points more into the other direction, that we don't live in a simulation. I mean, what are the chances that the creator of the simulation thought, “let's not add all the exciting stuff”?
Number 1, “The simulation could end at any moment” is another damn good reason do support StopKillingGames 🤣
Real human narrator. Give it up to Mike.
@lorenmars524413, our world is a stationary topographical plane...
@lonabryant5762Randomness doesn’t exist at all in this reality. Coin flips and dice rolls are completely deterministic, the physics are just so complicated that the results APPEAR random.
@XavierMax222The simulation could have started RIGHT NOW with all of our memories being preloaded background material
@XavierMax222The Aliens part is where you lost me. I love physics but I’ve been saying this since I found out about quantum entanglement. If civilizations live tens to hundreds of light years away, they wouldn’t use radio waves to communicate. They’d use quantum entanglement. If a civilization lives 10 light years away then it’d take 10 years for a message to reach them. 100 LY away 100 years. They’d communicate through entanglement. Ergo SETI sitting there listening for Alpha Centari’s Top Ten Countdown ain’t ever gonna happen. Also, they do exist given that we are getting disclosure (anyone who thinks it’s swamp gas refracted of the moon blah blah blah is fooling themselves)
@jmg5878Some scientists have been saying it would take more energy than the universe contains for a computer to simulate it. So maybe the devs in the future actually take optimization seriously… that’s great news for gamers.
@RepAlbertThomasSimulation theory is just creationism for people who dont want to accept God
@larrywade166Ok but like, if this is true we shouldn’t figure it out. They’ll kill us. 😂
@alainaXlovesXyouGreat stuff ! I am so glad I get to go kayaking and hang out in the bush with my awesome wife in this simulation
