Significant glass shrapnel hitting the face of the rear occupant at 0:58 during the side impact test. Appears the rear side airbag needs additional coverage to fully block the side window shards spraying into the air. Hopefully this is revised and fixed. Can't wait for the model Y-L in the US.

I just had an accident a month ago with my 22 LRMY! It occurred on my way to work near the airport. When the car crashed , the car somehow guided me safely โฆ.the airbags did not deployโฆ and most of the damage was to the front end. I was ok! Of course i had my seat belt onโฆi was safe! So much so, i went to work an hour laterโฆ.no painโฆ.i was ok! I was just saddened that my GiGi was hurt. And yesโฆ..they totaled her. So i immediately bought another tesla!

May I ask two questions : 1. Firstly, why are there no reports on potential human injury tests following the crash tests? 2. Secondly, why are there no rollover tests? Because with its panoramic sunroof, how much structural strength would it have if it rolled down a mountain cliff, or would the roof completely collapse?

Hit a median in a M3 and walked away with 2 flat tires. No damage to suspension. Just an alignment fix. Amazing how well these cars are made in terms of durability.

I donโt believe it. There was an accident lately in The NL. In the 50km/h zone. Tesla crashed with its side into the tree. It has been cut into half! Where letโs say Go,f that was driving 300 km/h on the autobahn was cut into half but the speed was much higher! Show the real tests from ADAC!

tesla exteriors are super strong and durable but believe it or not it is actually what makes them unsafe during a crash event because a normal car exteriors uses thin metal that can fold and bend and this makes them absorb impact and make u inside the safe cage safe

I work on accident damaged Tesla vehicles. They are built extremely well. Since their structure is structural bonded and bolted together no traditional frame straightening is allowed. Theyre extremely rigid and safe.

@tyrekknowles8249Most of these tests are literally stupid. If they really wanna see how cars hold up in a crash, they need to double the speed of every single one of these. Who drive straight into a brick wall? Pretty much no one. What does happen his head on collisions of two cars going 50 miles an hour in opposite directions. Who drives off a ramp and ditch at 10 miles an hour? No one. Get rid of the ramp and have it go off at 10 foot cliff at 40 miles an hour. Who gets in a T-bone crash at 20 miles an hour? No one, people get T-bones at 40 or 45 miles an hour. If you wanna know the probability of injury in these types of crashes, the speed needs to be doubled or more for most of them.
@MrMichaeledavis83People are slowly learning how much safer these cars are than they realized. The propaganda about batteries exploding really hurt the brand for a while, even though a combustible engine is a lot more likely to have a gas tank explode than a battery.
Although if solid state batteries eventually make their way into newer vehicles the safety should mprove even more.
