Best thing to do on these old motors before spinning them over is to pull the plugs and lube the cylinders up - Marvel Mystery Oil, ATF, or even PB Blaster. But if you're not going to pull the plugs, at least use 2-stroke fuel instead of brake cleaner to get them fired up. It provides at least a little lubrication while you're cranking them over, whereas brake cleaner washes the cylinder walls down and breaks down any lubrication they might get. TruFuel makes cans of 2-stroke gas premixed and I always keep one on hand for priming motors that haven't run in a while.

braking those cars... first you remove spark plugs or glow plugs and put oil on it.. you do that on all cars and come back in a day. then you check if the engine turns over using tools. and only then try to start it.. even in any of those cars started it broke engine.
