4:52 there’s a difference between “feel the fear, and do it anyway” and being reckless. I would personally say ask what’s the worst case, put something in place e.g. changing job, ensure you have buffer savings.

Someone who can reschedule worry doesn't have an anxiety problem. Imagine having a snooze button where you can just postpone anxiety.

It may be good to know that CORTISOL gets pumped into you blood stream, and can last for hours. You may not even finish one cycle and your body starts another one so you can’t sleep well. If you can focus for a few hours straight, (which is excruciating) you may be able to feel better sooner. I’ve just had a week with terrible sleep and I am now feeling like I can have a nice sleep tonight and cope and enjoy life again
Don’t you give up! It’s hard work, but you can do it!

Although I love and agree with most of this video - I must ask. How different is anxiety in autistic individuals? I have level one ASD and most of these tips I've used before. They don't often work for me as much as they do for my neurotypical companions.

As someone with a lot of confidence and little to no anxiety, I can tell you that this is the formula people like me have been following without knowing it from a young age. After a while, the feeling people call anxiety, just becomes a feeling of “shit, I feel like a bitch today”. It doesn’t define you, it’s just another state of being or a passing feeling, like happy, mad, or focused.

What about an overloaded nervous system?

@SimulacrumusBosch

today was one of the days out of the month where i had to bike to work. we recently got 2 new bikes and i wanted to try cycling one of them to work. unlike the bike i was familiar with, the seat height was higher and i could barely reach the floor. i was unsure how well my commute would gol. i was worried about losing balance, falling over, and the possibility of ridicule or feeling embarrassed about what other people would think. still worried, i tested the bike a few times in our garage. in the end, i was able to get myself to commit to trying out the new bike by telling myself that i would just take it slow. i was still pretty nervous about the ride by the time i was out the front door. i put in my earbuds and took a little bit of time to choose some tunes. once i got on the bike and got the hang of it, most of my anxiety faded away. i did fall over against a stoplight pole getting off the bike and it was a little embarrassing but i just played it off and went back to setting up to cross the intersection. i made it safely to work and the bike rolled very smoothly

What if the cause of the anxiety is money? I'm sure more than 90% of the world's population today is having some level of anxiety because of money. Let's face it, this is way too real to be "relaxed" about, I personally turn to God for protection, and want to dig deep into how psychology could help. Thank you for creating this channel.

The thing that makes my anxiety worse is when people point out I’m blushing or shaking. It makes me want to avoid any social contact again in case it happens.

Walking has helped me. And I hate to move when I feel stuck. After a while I craved it and it helps. Not a cure, but helps.

Just observing it for me doesn't make it go away. I've really tried that hard and I'm not afraid of the panic attacks anymore when I'm at home, but they still come. And I try to ignore them, and they just don't go away. It's really, really annoying, and even though I'm not afraid of it any more, it's still extremely uncomfortable. And debilitating unfortunately as it makes me not want to leave.

This works of course but my god is it difficult to practice. I don’t understand why I can’t just go ahead and learn to live with it. It destroys me. Say there’s a meeting I’m really nervous about. Ok I might somehow get through it (not always and called in sick before) but once I’m done I’m done for the whole day so I can’t just move onto the next task. I am emotionally gone and numb brain wise and so exhausted!

I just saw this. I needed it. Anxiety have been gripping me. I find it hard to focus. And think that i'm going crazy. I don't even know what trigger it. It just comes and stay for the day. I went for a walk yesterday and sat down talking to a tree, cause i don't know who to share this with. To those who is suffering from this, I pray that you find peace in your heart.
