When I was in high school, I was watching the TV show, Little House on the Prairie. In the episode, the mom Caroline was pregnant and just lost the baby boy in childbirth. During episode i had an overwhelming dread. One of my aunts was pregnant at the time, my brain just said if my aunt has a boy, he is going to die. Her son died at 11 months from an illness. About 30 years later, I finally told her as I had been carrying the guilt all those years, my aunt dies 4 months later from cancer.

My mom told me she almost named me Stephanie.
I like Jennefer. Im glad she chose it & the old original Welsh spelling.
Friends call me Jenny.

So from a young adult ,a few times in my life, I've had total strangers call me Stephanie.
After the 3rd or 4th time, I thought this was freaky.
Stephanie & Jennefer dont sound anything like each other & these were strangers in strange places so they didn't have a chance to hear Jennefer at some point. Let alone its completely different.

I never met my doppelganger, but met his girlfriend and his best friend and his girlfriend at Town East Mall in Mesquite, Texas back around 1982.

We later found out we were born in the same hospital just hours apart according to our moms. He beat me by 2 1/2 hours. AND, to top it off, OUR DATES OF ENLISTING WERE THE SAME DAY BUT at different states. We both ended up in the same unit months later in the same unit doing the same job in Desert Storm.

I later found out he did Basic training in a training unit just one barracks away, graduating on the same day. 🤚 true story.

He didn’t do well after the war, he went AWOL shortly after returning and I went on to becoming an officer. The last time I saw him was on the flight home. I often wondered what happened to him. 😞

When my mother was 18 years old (1950's) she went for a swim at a nearby public pool. She met a boy who worked at a lavish hotel up the road. It was his day off. They spent the entire day together and made plans to meet again the following Saturday.
The following Saturday my grandfather would not let my mother go and she was unable to meet the boy that day. But she went to the pool every Saturday after that, for 6 weeks, hoping she'd run into him. but sadly he didn't show up.
Life went on. She met my father and married him. They had 3 children together and were married for 30 years. But during that time they grew apart. They eventually decided to separate and divorce.
My mother was having breakfast alone at a restaurant one morning. A man approached asking if he could sit with her explaining that he hated to eat alone. My mother said yes, please sit. They hit it off, and began a stead fast friendship, eventually moving in together as roommates.
One morning about 2 years after they met they were talking about their younger years and realized they were both from the same area.
My mother mentioned the pool and that she occasionally swam there. Then he says he used to swim there every Saturday because he worked at the lavish hotel. He then tells my mother that he had met a great girl there the last time he went and was supposed to meet her the following Saturday but his father got sick and he had to return home. He couldn't meet her and often wondered what could've been.
My mother's jaw dropped, you can't be... they compared dates and indeed he was the boy from the pool from 35 years ago. They stayed together until he passed away.
It's crazy how life works. Little miracles like this one. They were obviously meant to be in each other's lives...

Not as crazy as other people’s stories, but when I was younger, I did choir at a lady’s house. It was my favorite thing of the week and she even taught me piano too. I made a lot of friends there and it was like a little family. She had cancer and eventually had to stop teaching because her health was in such poor shape due to all of the treatments. I found a new singing group at a local theatre not too far from my house. My mom found it through one of my old friends, which was already a coincidence. For our last show, we were singing The Greatest Show from The Greatest Showman, which was a song my choir director was teaching us, but we never finished it. A few weeks later, I found out she passed away the day before we performed. It felt like that was her way of finishing the song. While spending more time at this theatre, I find out that my new director has the same birthday as my director that passed. One time I went into the room where we rehearsed and felt something different in the air. I sat down and my director says “Everyone say hello to our new friend!” and it’s one of my old choir friends. We even performed some of the songs my previous director taught us with our new place. I have seen most of my old friends again in that theatre and that’s how I’ve briefly reconnected with them. That dang theatre holds a special place to me.

My mom was my dad's second wife, they had an 11-year age difference, and he had three kids. My two sisters (who are now deceased) were 12 years apart in age, and my older sister was just 12 years younger than my mom. I am 12 and 24 years younger than my sisters. Our birth years are 1942, 1954, 1966, and 1978. We all have/had the same Chinese zodiac sign, which runs on a 12-year cycle. I only have one other sibling, born 1959. We just have big age gaps.
