Yep - I save my coffee grounds, dry them off and then spread them over my garden plants, particularly those in pots. Its really been great at keeping things growing, particularly those I've rather forgotten about and were looking rather sad. it seems to perk them up really well. I add some to my fertiliser bucket that I leave to ferment for a week, then constantly 'top up' with my chosen 'additives' (ie banana peel, onion skins, coffee grounds, crushed egg shell, Epsom salts, turmeric and a couple of other things - & will now be adding cinnamon, thanks to your tip!) and then I add more water. (Just for anyone thinking of trying it, be sure to remember you have to dilute it! The liquid is much too strong on its own & you need to dilute 1 part scraps WATER (not the scraps) to 30 parts FRESH water. I've been using the formula 1/4 pint scraps liquid to 8 pints fresh water. I checked with AI and they agree with my formula! LOL!) . That bucket provides 'feed' for my plants for the summer &, well... it seems to work! Even my houseplants get a dose of it every couple of weeks through the summer (or during their particular growth cycles) and I have a bell pepper in my living room window (don't ask me how it got there, but there she is & keeps producing! Soooo.... there she stays! 😮😅) that has three peppers growing nicely again (I got about 10 last year) and about another 1/2 dozen flowers at least, at the moment... Sooo... I am avidly watching & listening to your video - THANK YOU for such good information! I shall have a lot of fun trying out the various tips to see how they help my poor plants! I am NOT yer typical gardener but I love trying to grow things. It's hit and miss sometimes but I usually end up with a few nice veggies & some fruit (particularly raspberries & rhubarb!)! Encouraging pheasants & crows (I feed all the beautiful birds), along with the odd deer poking their heads over the fencing, doesn't help though! However, they too will be grateful for your 'hacks' and tricks! THANK YOU SO MUCH! 😃👍

Does potato idea work for yams or sweet potato?

: ) This is our 6th garden season here in the Berkshires, western, Massachusetts. I learn and get better every year, however, it is expensive. So far this season we are easily down for $700. Seeds, plants, straw, blood/bone meal, more straw, manure/compost, more straw, burlap to cover, bungee chords, more straw, hahaha. Adds up fast! And yes, I recycle all the time for the garden spaces (900 sq ft). We use old posts, bamboo, fencing, pinwheels, old burlap, cages, newspaper/cardboard, etc... Good stuff! Now, time to watch the video. Carpe diem!
