iirc, B.O. is bc of breastfeeding. It helps baby figure out feeding i think 🤷🏼♀️ and thankfully it's not permanent!
Today I'm sharing things I wish I knew before having a baby! Don't worry, we're keeping things positive - but looking back as a new momma of a 4-month-old, there are definitely some things that came as I surprise that I wish I knew before. If you just had a baby, these tips will be very effective and helpful for you
Establish a consistent bedtime routine – Babies thrive on predictability. A simple routine like a warm bath, gentle massage, dimmed lights, and soft lullabies signals that it’s time to sleep. Consistency helps the baby feel secure and makes falling asleep easier.
Swaddle or use a sleep sack – Swaddling (for newborns) or using a sleep sack can mimic the womb environment, helping the baby feel snug and safe. This can reduce startle reflexes that often wake them, promoting longer, more restful sleep.
White noise or calming sounds – Gentle white noise, a fan, or soft lullabies can soothe a baby by masking household noises. The familiar sound mimics the womb’s environment, making it easier for them to drift off.
Prioritize your own rest – Stress can be contagious. Try to nap when your baby naps, accept help from friends or family, and avoid overloading yourself. A rested parent is calmer, which positively impacts the baby’s sleep and mood.
Practice gentle touch and mindfulness – Holding, rocking, or softly talking to your baby can calm both of you. For yourself, brief moments of deep breathing, meditation, or gentle stretching can reduce stress hormones, helping you respond to the baby with patience and calmness.

Everyone told me not to add clothes to your registry because people are going to buy you clothes whether they're on your registry or not.
Well, that advice doesn't work for everybody because I'm picky and I want my baby's clothes to be high-quality organic clothes that are soft and nice and low chemicals. If you don't add clothes to your registry, people show up with whatever they think is cute or whatever they got from Walmart or Target that is not necessarily the best quality.
If you add some clothes to your registry then whether they buy what's off your registry or not, they'll at least know what kind of things you like, and they'll have an idea that you like high-quality organic clothes for your baby. Not only that, but most people did buy things off my registry, so I didn't get a ton of clothes. Also a lot of times the clothes they buy are those larger clothes, not the newborn clothes so I think registering for some clothes is important.

Can definitely relate to the eating while pregnant thing. I'm at 27 weeks and I don't feel nauseous while eating anymore, but I definitely have less of an appetite. I have to remind myself all the time to eat cause it's so easy to go so long without eating, and once I realize I'm hungry I can't think of anything else, I have to drop everything and get food immediately. I enjoy eating things that I cook at home, especially bratwurst and steak, but I can barely eat out anymore I have this bitter distain whenever it's brought up D: also cannot sleep, my ribs and chest burn and tingle so bad when I sleep on my side, and I'm never sure how I get it to subside enough to actually sleep I just keep tossing and turning till something gives

I'm newly pregnant and I notice that my sweat smells like baby sweat. I also feel like I cannot enjoy dairy. I'm so hungry all the time but when I eat dairy I bloat like a mug.

Hi! Thank you for taking the time to share your personal experience. I recently shared a time with a coworker about food and her time being vegetarian. She told me that after some years vegetarian and going back to eating meat, her body started to smell stronger and she felt again the need to use deodorants, something she stopped using when she was vegan, she only felt so comfortable she didn't notice until she started smelling strong again! I wanted to share this with you now, not sure if you could try a more vegan routine, maybe not to do it completly but maybe to reduce meat could help! I already follow a low meat diet and I never use deodorants :)

I'm almost 6 weeks, insatiably hungry and my stomach is already sore! Doesn't help that I worry every time I feel a cramp, too.

@happyhempress6991My son didn’t fit into newborn clothes 😂I felt so bad cramming him in his little outfit to go home. This time I’m bringing both sizes.

The point about it takes time to bond was a great one to bring up. This has happened with a few Dad's I've known and I think there is a lot of pressure for them to be blown away with feelings right away.

@sweetychinnuvideos518340+4 days pregnant with my first, a boy, and wow have I noticed I smell more over the last few months! Hoping it doesn’t get worse after he arrives 🙏🏻
@NataliaMcCaffreyIm glad you mentioned the not wanting/enjoying eating while pregnant because that’s something no one warned me about and I just started my second trimester and I still don’t want to eat or enjoy food it’s a struggle to eat but I just push through it
@strawberry2514Hi, you can also put 3-4 spoonfuls of breast milk in the baby bath, great for dry skin. Also a drop in each nostril if the baby has a blocked nose. It works wonders! For adults, it even helps with psoriasis!
@OrrinRichI instant loved my baby….my son however did not feel the same. It’s took him years to warm up to me. Dad tho….he looked at dad like a God.
@MsMomNerdThanks! I’m 36 and this is my first child, my mom is no longer with us, so this kind of videos are very helpful… I don’t know what to think or to do, I love being on my own and resting, so I’m getting ready for a huge change in my life…. OMGGGGGGGG
@denniserodriguez8719I just found out I’m pregnant 5 days ago. It still seems surreal. ️️ It’ll be my first baby. My husband and I were only trying for 2 months, and I’m 41. I read all the statistics so I thought I would have a hard time getting pregnant….But God
@AimeeMay-t1hNgl I came here to feel better about my unexpected pregnancy and I left feeling worse 😭
@StarrfiireeI cannot wait to eat postpartum 😅
@meghannslays6101Thanks for this. My due date is approaching and this was helpful
@rebeccakimber-zg2vsFor me one of the most surprising things until now (28 weeks along) was, that my jaw ached pretty bad at the end of the first trimester and continued to ache until like 20 weeks. It's apparently due to the hormones loosening your sinews and all, but I could barely eat hard food during that time. That was something I didn't know could happen during pregnancy and thats why I wanted to add it to the list in the comments. :)
@ravenhavengamingLord, you really gave me a gut punch at the very end. Not feeling like you can fully empty your bladder is the symptom I am most looking forward to eliminating, that and carpal tunnel 😢. Hopefully it won’t last much longer after baby comes 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
