13 Forgotten 80s Films Too Wild to Be Real
Video Overview & Insights
The 80s gave us Troll 2, but that’s just scratching the surface of 80s movie insanity. Today, we’re counting down 13 more totally unhinged films from the decade that brought us killer robots, taekwondo rock bands, and mutant frog people. Yes, these movies exist, and yes, they’re as bizarre as they sound. From Chopping Mall to Surf Nazis Must Die, this list proves that in the 80s, no idea was too out there to fund. So grab your popcorn and a healthy dose of skepticism as we dive into these forgotten gems of the weird!
Dan, in film #2 I think you mean "continuity".
More User Perspectives
No Holds Barred with Hulk Hogan - the coke budget was sky high, it was a dollar tree version of Rocky 3 or 4.
New York Ninja - it was shot in 1984 but it surfaced in 2021. All the audio had to be overdubbed and it's still school play levels of bad acting.
Silent Night, Deadly Night 2 - i burst out laughing a few times with the line delivery of the lead how bad it was
Toxic Avenger 1 or 2 - they're far from forgotten but there's always one person who hasn't seen it or any other tromaville films
The Wraith - it's a weird charlie sheen movie with a magical race car
Death Wish 3 - Charles Bronson - the final shootouts are so over the top
anything with the Barbarian brothers usually features the acting of kings
chopping mall is a classic, i've seen it at least 4 times
Gymkata is hilariously awful
the stuff looks really interesting, i have a brother who was obsessed with eating yogurt to lose weight (it never happened) so it'll be fun to see
the 90s are full of so many so bad they're good movies. Gary Daniels delivers lines as poorly as Tommy Wiseau, then there's Lorenzo Lamas, a little movie called stone cold with Brian Bosworth, expect no mercy with Billy Blanks. Tammy and the T-Rex, escape from LA, con air, good burger, the hunted (1995), showdown in little tokyo, turbulence, the story of riki-oh., Hard Target (JCVD), that final shootout is incredible.
Keep up the good work
The narrator has the charisma of a hang nail. Try some caffeine or something before making your videos, unless you’re trying to put people to sleep
@steveswangler6373I used to have Hell goes to Frogtown,only cause i loved Roddy Piper.
@marcusdarkallius1194BCSurf Nazis - one of my favorites whenever I just want to watch and get "entertained"
@peterhausen3185#4 'Surf Nazis Must Die'
The title alone, along with the fact that it is a TROMA film is reason enough why it exists and why you should watch it.
Vampires always hop in hk horror films
@timmaynard7729You forgot to mention that the movie Troll starred Sonny Bono of Sonny and Cher fame.
@kiillabytezFantastic selection, you are the tops!!
@SimonPriestley-s1rRobovampire has a ghost woman fighting nude in a see through nighty.
@SWGhostbusterteen witch is midway between carrie and teen wolf
@jbluescorpionknightTroll is where J.K.Rowling got the idea/s for Harry Potter.
@SethBrundleifyThe Stuff-- Classic
@johnnyretro84I thought the Munchies multiplied if they were chopped to pieces.
@alexandergonzie1200SLUGS: “They’ll Get You….Eventually.”
@jaredphillips129'Hell Comes to Frogtown' is awesome.... Rowdy Roddy is forced to do his part for humanity by impregnating beautiful virgins or else his family jewels will be electrocuted... What else can you possibly ask for in a movie?
@jcg9998Tagline for The Stuff should be " when good milk goes really bad"
@marcelmoreau2733I’ve almost watched all your videos and still haven’t seen Ants.
@jkthoSome great movies on this list. Troll was so much fun
@Jason-vi2pjFYI: in connection to Hopscotch, in Chinese culture there are hopping vampires in their mythology.
@deadalready7467Hopping Vampires are actually a Chinese mythical monster. Believe it or not.
@tommydarbe1524Gymkata!!!
@johnlee4492The Stuff is a lots of fun 😅 😁
@loke72Hell comes to frogtown was so bad that it was good, I saw some other weird movies in the 80s but do you think I can remember the names

@privateprivate1865Subbed❤
@privateprivate1865I adore Hell Comes To Frog Town and Chopping Mall. They're both deliciously heinous. Troll and The Stuff are pretty fun too. Definitely taking notes from these videos trying to find more obscure trash to track down. Thanks for the videos sir! 😁😁😁
@TheVelvetSmoggWell I love number one and number two also can you put bee movies or low-budget movies of future movies or something that would be great😊😊😊😊😊😊 love your content
@johnmadden1605Ice pirates totally
@jeremykeeler6720Hell comes to Frogtown is a masterpiece!
@Shadowace724When you pick Sonny Bono to star in your movie you know you're behind the 8-ball from the get go.
@rick5549Slugs?.... Really?!...😮
@Ryan-k9w😂😂😂😂 Very "hostile" LOL. so much fun and insanity here. Rowdy really did some great stuff didn't he? Hell Comes To Frogtown was epic. That is Valeria from Conan, she is ace. I loved Mr Vampire, so crazy! I had no idea there was a cyborg one! The Stuff was quite good, funny and great dialogue. Surf Nazis Must Die was legendary, the title alone is art :D There are a few here I don't know - the taekwondo genius and the gymnast one... just why LOL. What a time to be a teenager :D
@annag86131:52 in, 2 of 3 leads in "Eating Raoul" look at each other....actress, unreal face, gets possessed in a Warlock film...brilliant scene. With, as the ambitious warlock, blonde scientist from "Arachnophobia", died in a park, recently.
@JamesSimmons-d1tSlugs were my bigest childhood trauma. Nothing has ever frightened me as much as that. I struggled for two years as a child to deal with the trauma after this movie. People pay attention to what your children are watching.
@gorgi-gmaximum overdrive please
@aangryy3099l recomend the toxic advenger,** Class of nuke 'em high & Girlfriend from hell
@grassisgreener1978I've never even heard of any of these movies. I consider myself lucky.
@sureshmukhi23167:30 Surf Nazis Must Die is a Troma flick.
@TheTrumpReaperHell Comes to Frogtown is one of my all-time post-apocalyptic favorites, right up there with A Boy and His Dog, starring a very young Don Johnson, which was unfortunately made in 1975 and therefore disqualified from any 80's lists. 😒
@AndyFreedeHell Comes to Frogtown sounds like some revenge movie where the villains are a South-East Asian gang.
@ChundarrofSmegHopping vampires or jiang-shi are pretty cool monsters who attack if they can smell your breath.
@ChundarrofSmegI remember watching troll as a kid! I thought it was kind of creepy back then!
@craigfawcett-smith1287Excellent and "Terrible"!
@RicardoMagnonMiami Connection made me think of NEW YORK NINJA.
Robo Vampire made me think of A POLISH VAMPIRE IN BURBANK.
there was talks not too long ago about replacing security guards with robots, and no it wasn't a movie/story pitch, it was about automation like factories and fast-food joints have been doing🤔🤔😳😳😞😞🇺🇲🦅🇺🇲
@warbunny13203Hell comes to Frog Town is NO B-Movie
@jaritime1406Gymkata- the village of the crazies scene really messed with my head as kid. Especially the old lady hanging out the window yelling “rahhhh rAAAhhh”
@landisix9709Its like Mad Max had a baby with Kermit the Frog.....and they all ran out of bubble gum. LOL Thats funny shit! lol
@biggiefitz6275oh look random stuff on the floor, MUST PUT IN MOUTH AND SWALLOW, EAT IT ALL!!! except the yellow snow.
