🏨Recommended Hotels:

Without looking at comments I thought some of the suggestions were weird, especially that most places will have a line, that sounds like tourist trap, even the ice cream place

Oh boy...ate at both Tonnarello and Canonica...both mediocre Italian restaurants compared to what you get in a major city in North America. Thank God Rome is stunning and has so much to it, but food ain't it.

my parents invited my husband and me for a suprise visit to rome. NEXT WEEK... can' wait.... does one have to reserve a table really for normal dinner?

— @TeylaDex

00:59 - 03:32 Trastevere: Tonnarello & Trapizzino

03:33 - 04:50 Frigidarium & Two Sizes

Lived in Rome and no local goes to Tonnarello.

— @TheBeautifulThingsWithNessy

04:51 - 05:45 Pastificio Guerra

05:46 - 06:55 All’Antico Vinaio & Caffe Tazza D`Oro

There's a family owned Gelato place on the main drag, fronting the piazza Vittorio Emanuele that has been there since before WWII. It is simply incredible. There's an old letter, framed on the wall from a U.S. General in the war stating that the place is off limits to enlisted men, officers only. I was there in January, cold weather but just couldn't pass it up...life is too short not to eat Gelato that good.

— @bristleconepinus2378

06:56 - 07:44 Pizza Florida & Pinsa Mpo

07:45 - 08:28 Prosciutteria Cantina dei Papi & Fuorinorma

A Roma a circa 15 euro (a pranzo) si può mangiare bene. Primo, secondo contorno e acqua.
Volendo anche a 10/12 euro, stessa disposizione.
Qualità più che buona.

You lost me at Tonnarello😂

These places are all tourist traps

I completely agree with the previous reviewers. I visited Tonnarello Maggiore today and the experience was strikingly similar. The carbonara was weak and lacked the bold, intense flavor you expect from this Roman classic. While the fat in the guanciale seemed properly rendered at first, the meat felt like it had been simmered or boiled in the sauce for too long, resulting in a soft, soggy texture instead of a crispy one. Compared to local benchmarks like Luzzi or Pastificio Guerra, this was a poor showing. It feels like they are prioritizing volume over the technical details that make a great pasta.

Another touristic video for turist Who thing to behave not as a such…, done by a non roman.
And they all talk about the same places.
Just look at those Lines of People: all turists!
Trastevere nowadays is like Hollywood
Piazza Navona too.
I stopped there but let me suggest: Campo de fiori, Piazza di Spagna, Pantheon etc.
I can Guess the different places reccomended.

@paponeable
@

You suggest just tourist traps, starting from pasta to ice cream 😂😂😂
Chicken!!! Ahahahah

@MrTylerDurden1

My tip. Eat at Tonnarello on the first night in Rome. You may want to go again on the last night. I did.

@ccordray4

The video shows people sitting and eating on the Spanish Steps which seems to suggest that folks can do that. They can’t. Since 2019 it’s strictly prohibited and carries a fine of €250, which can increase to €400 if the monument is dirtied or damaged. Your video should include that information.

I’m going to Rome on Wednesday! First time!! So excited

@thatgirlliza8023

Off, why are you suggesting Tonnarello? Biggest tourist trap in Rome. Lines? Stay away. They only want your'e money. The neary 100.000 ratings, are generated by the restaurant tell the customer to rate. To get even more people in there. I go somewhere else.
