👉 The truth about weight loss

Great video! The bus is a great way to exercise. I've always been a super walker but as I grew older I started taking the bus more and more due to laziness and that eventual old age decline of getting yourself up and at em. The motivation becomes harder and harder. I realized that I didn't have to ride the bus completely to my destination. Ya duh! Funny how we think that if we're on the bus (or whatever) we must ride it until we're at or as close to our destination as possible. So in order to get in my steps (or add to them) count I force myself to get off before, Sometimes you really have to force yourself lol but once your off you have no choice but to walk the rest of the way. I'll get off blocks and blocks before my destination now. I started off slow though (especially if you've, like me, had a sickness and haven’t walked in awhile) so I started one block before and then stretch the blocks more and more. The bus is actually a great way to measure your distances since most buses (I’m in the city) stop every block. I still need at my age to take the bus but I don't actually need to ride it all the way. It's stupid I know that mentally It just never occurred to me that I can get off to force myself to walk lol. Even a block or two goes a long way.

Homemade hummus is the best. Store bought is rubbish and doesn't even taste like hummus. I can of chickpeas, 2-3 spoons of tahini paste, grated rind and juice of half a lemon and a glug of oil and blend.

I love potatoes, unfortunately I figured out I can't have them because I can't tolerate starch. But on the full side of the glass is, when I figured out living with gut pain is not normal and the doctor told me "little to almost no starch in your meals" I got cured of fast-food.

What you’re doing is recommending a highly restrictive diet that is actually kind of triggering. These were not weight loss tips, they were a gateway to an eating disorder and obsessive eating tips.

I eat overnight oats with yoghurt and berries almost every day. I actually never get sick of it! It's so quick and easy. Totally agree, potatoes are incredible for satiety, low in calories and they taste SO GOOD. I do love my olive oil though, so I factor it into my allowance. I only eat home made dressings so I control how much oil goes in.

These are some great tips! I was at my ideal weight 3-4 years ago, and gradually stopped moving & watching what I eat, and gained over 35 pounds. I'm starting my journey to try and shed this weight, and these tips are helpful. Will update in a few weeks 🙌🏻
