I agree with the person who said that not everyone looks good in gold jewelry. I for one do not look good in gold jewelry. It all depends on your skin palette. I’m cool summer so no gold, yellow or orange tones for me :)

Coat is a bit too ostentatious. If you are going to wear that coat, put on a pair of jeans and crisp white tee. No WAY you're gonna wear flats with that, cuz it's COLD out there!

No, no, those "chunky" earrings can NOT be that big and dangling. Keep with a smaller chunky hoop.

Can't wear those horizontal strips with a short stocky body. I do vertical. Can't have those pocketed slacks when you got real hips.

👖 TROUSERS:

I love your videos, but I must admit that I don't really understand your hairstyle. Curls are beautiful, but this style of curls looks like a bunch of little pigtails that you want to untangle. Your beautiful hair needs a cut that makes "effortless" actually look good.

I love the nuance in your tips! Posture is soo important. The “unfolding of the hand” is so clever + observant. You have obviously had ballet in your background haha (as have I). Doesn’t it underpin just all movement?!?! Many thanks for another useful video. Cheers from Australia.

👜 BAGS:

Today I had need to use your strategy. Oh my! I had less than 25 min before someone was arriving. Used your makeup emergency approach, followed similar principles for clothing. Thank goodness I watched this clip. Essential survival skills for the overwhelmed.
Thank you so much. xxx

💎 JEWELLERY:

· Engagement ring: BRILLIANT EARTH: https://www.brilliantearth.com/

Hahaha imagine if they coated Versailles in silver, it would tarnish overnight! Gold remains quite shiny for a long time, but silver oxidizes quickly and must be maintained. Silver jewelry is significantly easier to clean than a castle…😂

Love your videos!

For me, my downfall is my hair. I have very fine, thin hair and it always looks "mousy." I seldom use any heat tools because they damage my hair very easily. I've also tried clip-in hair extensions, but due to how fine my hair is, it hurts my head and pulls on and breaks my hair. Plus, it's hard to hide the clips as they show as a bump through my hair.

Any tips on how to style fine, thin hair and look "chic?" 🙂

But it doesn't look beautiful. It looks unfinished and outdated, even for classy looks. So for me, it's simple or basic look with lack of style.

I just can't unsee your hair. You speak about elegance but those curls are so outdated, so not classy. I honestly don't understand. Those curls are infantile. You would look very elegant with a more modern hair style.

4:05 Also, using clear mascara after curling your lashes can have a similar effect without using makeup. I prefer this when commuting in a city where there’s construction going on, and lots of things can (or will) fly in your face.

Also regarding brows, I’d also suggest microblading as a long term investment for natural, but ‘effortless’ put together brows. You would only need to get it every 1-3 years and cuts shaping them out of one’s routine.

I enjoy your videos and find that I already do some of the things you recommend. However I am a little uncertain with some fashion tips due to my body shape. I’m not tall or willowy - I’m shorter, muscular, and busty. What suggestions do you have for heavier looking body types?

Showing the sole of your shoe is an insult in some cultures. The top of a shoe is more visually appealing, anyway, so pointing your foot makes sense.

On the makeup element, i feel like a-lot of french content creators encourage less makeup but really less makeup seems to tend to look more “natural” the more fair you are and the less contrast there is between your hair, skin and eyes. As someone with pale skin and dark hair and eyes, it looks more put together for me to honor my high contrast by defining what otherwise would get lost.

Such great information and very well presented too. I feel like even I can level up now. Ty!

I think it's weird that one would feel the need to look chic if you received a last-minute call to go to your kid's school. You always want to look presentable and appropriate, but you needn't feel you need to look chic if something went wrong at school and you're needed there! What a strange idea.

Make sure you're not restricting your ability to reason and prioritize well with the compulsion to look perfect every single time you leave the house. There are occasions when looking presentable is all you need to worry about. Getting a call from the school to be there right away is definitely one of them. Picking out the right jewelry? Strange idea.

i LOVE your videos!!! i have a lot of injuries so wearing something comfortable without looking like a slob is important to me. your videos give me all sorts of ideas on how to look polished and confident even when wearing coolibar pants and tops (i live in a place where the sun is quite merciless). due to shoulder/back issues i can't carry a purse so i have a SCOTTeVEST so having ideas on how i can conceal or dress this look up is a godsend! i love your tips on make-up (i wear tinted sunscreen as "foundation") and will be giving the nivea tinted lip balm a whirl- i love that it contains titanium as it can give some sun protection. i appreciate the time you take in making these videos and your sharing your knowledge with us!!!

For me, easy hair is no hair. A simple turban -- chambray for jeans, black a little elegant. During cold weather, a wool cloche both indoors and outdoors, sometimes accented by a brooch.

Ok but I have acne that I’m fighting with my whole life. I already took izotek and I still look bad. I have no other option than to wear foundation and concealer.

Last winter, I bought a beautiful long forest green vintage olden coat (I searched for months on eBay) with red trim and an inverted red pleat in the back. I feel so special in it when I wear it! In order to accessorize, I bought a pair of merlot suede booties with a little bit of a heel, a pair of merlot gloves with red piping, and a plaid Dooney & Bourke handbag that has lots of wonderful colors in it - including dark blue, merlot, green, gold, and red - I wasn't sure about the bat but I get lots of compliments whenever I carry it. I have several pairs of shoes that coordinate with the bag and different coats that I have. Oh, I am a silk scarf collector and a fan of them in the cooler months (but swap out for gold necklaces or pearls or other stones during the warmer months). I think the key to looking effortless is to have the right pieces - then it's easy to toss it all together without too much effort. But I think it DOES take effort to find clothes and accessories that are the right "ingredients" to a comfortable, elegant, Appropriate and chic outfit. I love your videos; thank you so much. I worked in high fashion fora. very long time and I learn something new with each of your videos. Oh, I have one one those bun things but I'd never tried securing it the way that you did - I'll try it!
