High pressure continues to bring warm weather to the south of the country while weather fronts bring extensive cloud and wet weather to the north. The rain will be heavy and persistent over parts of Scotland, though easing through the night and spreading southwards. There will be low cloud over the west of the country by tomorrow morning.
